I think he meant top 10 pick. I was hoping we'd push harder for #8 with maybe Miller + TJ because Matthews seems to rate Miller.

Sad to see him go but considering his talent he's underperformed over the last 5 years. Hopefully this move will bring the best out of him and he'll shine over the next couple years playing with Black, Power, Lappin etc.

Good get for Brisbane. Johnstone will suit them as a running outside midfielder to complement Lappin, Black and Adcock

Win for Brissy here, opens up there window a little with JB still in his prime and there youngsters with another 22 games experience into them this year.

I think that the pendulum has swung too far towards draft choices compared to established players.
Selection 14 of recent drafts (ignore the last 2 years to allow some development) were Ashley Watson, Daniel Bell, Fergus Watts, Angus Monfries.
Are these level of selections really better than someone like Travis Johnstone?
I know that you can look back at previous later picks that have become stars but surely that means that you need some luck to pick a star late in the following rounds.

thats excatly the way it should have been. miller and trav for pick 8 and maybe a 3rd rounder also.
