Do you know what “the latter” means? Did you notice I’d bolded a bit of your post? The latter bit?

Kelly, Wellingham and Brockman were traded in not out. And Selwood left as a free agent, we didn’t get a say in what we got back.

Think we did reasonably for Rioli who was well and truly damaged goods. Ebert, as I said, we took it as far as we could with Port who were bastards.

We need to get more than just a first round pick which may blow out further than pick 12. But no doubt the club will bend over and take that and won’t be suprised if we give them something back knowing us

I'd say that's standard boiler plate for a contracted player wanting a trade. It will still get done.

I think you are expecting too much for a 28/29 YO, with a chronic back problem. At most a 1st (12) and a 2nd (or future 2nd), but if 12 is all they offer, take it and run!
