Trade Radio
Dogs will want more then pick 20* from the Cats but they won’t want to give up more and you just need to get a deal done because the PSD won’t happen because no one wins.

None of this narrative for Baker for 23 who is lesser player than Smith.
Where do I find trade radio?

pick 20 for Smith puts Baker at our F4

AFL website atm. Was just a 20 minute preview. Stuff we pretty much know already.

Not much Brissy stuff. Where they predict Ashcroft and Marshall to go (Pick 20). Didn’t mention the Lions but everyone is trying to use their Future 1st to buy into this years draft so good market to be a seller.

It will be interesting when the Tassie team draft comes in with clubs selling off their 1st rounders for a couple packets of chips knowing they won't be worth much.

Barrass Out - with a 6 month supply of tissue's and anusol, plus a helmet for Karl Amon.

In - Hawks 1st this year and a 2nd rounder.

No doubt we'd be more competitive taking on a bunch of delisted spuds, it's dire. But we're looking to build the next premiership list, we can't take every spud that'd make our list of spuds slightly less spudier right?

Here's my wishlist preference; all of these players would offer something more in the midfield than what we're delisting, but we'll be damned if we take more than one:

Clear AFL level improvement:
  • Peatling
  • Baker (obvs without overpaying)
Borderline 22 / WAFL-level support:
  • Graham/Parfitt (as free agent)
  • Garcia
  • Dev
  • Kennedy
  • Seb Ross
If you don’t rate Kennedy, that’s fine but we need to find a way of improving our floor without giving away any or as little capital as possible.

Peatling many doubt with come to us and Baker will cost us our R2 at a minimum which might not even be enough.

Our number one priority should be the draft, then Free agency and then trading in players in that order.

Baker should be set as a round two pick maximum and if it’s more then just walk away. He’s out of contract and wants to come to WA. If Freo swoop in then so be it.

We need to continue to go to the draft strongly in the next two years which will then set us up with a base that we can build from.

Building from the draft will take time but will be the best result in the long run. The worst thing we could do is start trading our picks out 3 years into the process.

This was a definite step up for Finn compared to his disappointing outing last week, much more influential and involved with the play, but unfortunately his Chargers went down to the Rebels, ending his season. The Chargers only have themselves to blame for this loss, squandering countless opportunities, both from relatively easy goal scoring opportunities and some awful final balls into F50 with Finn himself responsible for a couple. With the game on the line he took a brilliant mark deep in the forward pocket, but hit the wrong side of the footy on his attempted banana which proved to be the Chargers final chance to retake the lead.

Riley and Cal mentioning again today clubs rate picks between 5-10 pretty much equal to picks 1-4. It's a shame about Murphy Reid otherwise i honestly think we would slide back from 3 to 6 for Baker assuming that's what GCS pay for Rioli. There's still a chance it could happen if we're really keen on Lalor but it seems unlikely. To slide back from 3 to 6 one of FOS, Draper, Langford or Lalor would have to be available.

Is that good or not good?

If a team puts a player as their #1 ranking and hold pick 6 will they look to upgrade to land their preferred #1 ranked player or not?

It really depends how much they want their #1 ranked player compared to their 2nd choice.

Team's will be reluctant to trade out of the 5-10 range. Richmond may be the exception if they land the GCS pick so they can get 2 of Jagga, FOS or Langford.
