Ralphys eyes are opening friends. He is so close.

Feels like a safe assumption Freo are being asked the question by Richmond.

Edit: realised the tweet got cut off. Critical point at the end:
"Eagles might need to do a trade for him separate to the Barrass trade and don’t have much collateral. Richmond doesn’t want a pick slide or late future picks. But might have to accept one of those for him given he is out of contract"

Reckon we'll hold off on the Barrass trade until after the Baker trade

Richmond can't ask for what we don't have...

He is dead set the biggest flog of trade period so far. As if Baker and his management after one trade are shitting the bed looking for an exit strategy to Freo. He’s a liar. I thought no one would ever dislodge Sam McClure from #1 but he is getting very close.
Morris easily the bigger flog today IMO. At least Ralph has conceded we need to get more than just Baker for Barrass and honestly that tweet is just about the first time anyone in the Vic media has acknowledged we could just offer 26 and maybe some peanuts.

People need to really stop tuning into the trade radio shit :radio::toilet:

Bunch of campaigners we don't like, in a circle jerk of Vic bias crap.

Don't give them the viewership, vote with your ears and hopefully trade radio dies and they shorten trade week to an actual 5 days instead of the total joke that it is now.

We say this shit every year yet you fools still tune in. Sack up. Find your testicles and remember you no longer live in grandma's basement, you're adults.
Stop trying to overtake me on likes

Hope so, would be the smart way to play it.

Then all the bed-wetters can hand write apologies begging for forgiveness from Clarke.

I've kept a list campaigners and will be in touch if necessary.

At least it's interesting.

Until nothing at all happens over the weekend.

Nothing at all. Nothing at all
america nothing GIF

If all this crap about him needing Richmond to be well compensated is true, sounds to me like the PSD won't be an option.
Who's ever heard of a player trying to make it difficult for the team he's nominated to recruit him (if true)?
Don't remember TB ever saying that he wants us to get maximum return for him, he just wants to get to the club that is offering him the best contract (seemingly free agency style).
I remember Judd having a bit to say about compo for west coast when he left. It was important to him that we were compensated well iirc.

He must be one of the only players who has requested a trade without immediately nominating a club. That alone allowed us to search for fair compensation.

Yeahhh....but Juddy was just a little bit of a generational player, compared to dime and dozen Baker
It doesn't have anything to do with his worth, only that Baker wants fair compo for a club that did alright for him which I'm ok with. What that fair compo amounts to is another question though.

Ideal scenario here is probably that Freo pays us back for not bidding up players who've gone to them when we had the chance (Jackson most recently) and leaves Richmond with zero option to take whatever we scrape together for Baker. Not a disaster if we miss out but if we can get him for a much better price than we were expecting and accumulate some future picks for Warner then this whole trade period could suddenly look quite nice.

Also for as much as Baker apparently wanted fair compo surely the coach and Graham already being here changes the maths somewhat. A late first or an early second are really not that far apart.
