What if you then gave Melbourne 8 and 12 for Jackson?

Thinking Think GIF by Rodney Dangerfield
ULTRA SUPER MEGA TRADE

Deven Robertson is barely worth a late 2nd, he’s so average man, how he has this board fooled is genuinely impressive stuff though

I was working on getting Robertson for Rioli in that scenario. Which would be a win given the current circumstances.

8 and 12 for 2 is the debatable one….but it’s pretty much ‘8 and a future 1st’ isn’t it?

I don’t mind the idea of having 2 first rounders this year even if it means moving back from 2.

But I think we are better served waiting until draft night to trade it.

North going Wardlaw at the first live pick could open up some serious bidding at clubs wanting Cadman or Sheezel; Vice Versa if Cadman goes first, I’m sure a few clubs might like Wardlaw.

I just think we will get a better deal when you can see the carrot in front of you, rather than right now there is uncertainty with who goes at #1

I’m not sure which board would melt harder if that happened, ours or yours

lols. Not me.
I think Luke has some potential but **** me those dopey w***ers in red and blue carry on like he’s Stephen Michael.

id be quite comfortable to hold Lobb and Meek and take all of our picks, especially the hand we have next year

Pick 2 and Rioli for 8, 12 and Dev would be okay for mine.
Dev not enough for mine mate but I don't rate him as much as some.

I'd want Pick 2 and Rioli for 8, 12 and F1 (Port) or another first this year or a higher calibre player.
They pay the premium or we hold the pick I say.

So Geelong are shrewd for being tight arses and consistently topping up with top end talent acquired for very little but we are c*nts for offering pick 27 for an overweight, over hyped forward with drug issues, who’s barely played a game in 2 years, sweet Jesus.
Oh no, don't get us wrong, Geelong are also most certainly C*nts as well, but they are successful C*nts so that makes them shrewd.

Nth giving up a lot, but it would have to be close.

We would no doubt prefer to give up 40 but push come to shove surely we would do that.

Added benefit of death riding Port for the second season in a row!

Port still get out of this more cheaply than I'd like, but aside from that I think everyone could live with it. GWS probably the worst off but depends how high they value pick 1.

Hewett and Ginbey seem contested and vanilla. How much different are they to Robertson really?
Dev is a toiler.Hewett is silk. We need both but toilers are easier to find than silk.It doesn’t mean that Hewitt is gunna make it but you need class to get ahead and we need to start somewhere

That’s pretty much what I’ve spent the last half an hour on and come up with. Only difference is I didn’t have eagles giving 26 it was just 2 & Rioli. Instead of us giving 26 Port could send Bonner to North as I feel like port should be paying more.

Port win that trade hands down. Would s**t me to no end.

I agree Port are making out like bandits. I’d get rid of us giving 26 at all and make port include a player being sent to North (Bonner perhaps). Reckon that makes it more even.

Yep, if it is those 4 clubs there are 2 (us and Nth) with high quality assets that we have no obligation to move on, and 2 (Port more than GWS) who are trying to buy those assets.

Basically Port and GWS should be the ones slightly overpaying in the trade.
