We rarely ever get a sniff at the top end of the draft through our history and our list is crying out for some elite talent. I will be extremely disappointed if things play out the way they're described.

While I agree that a top 2 pick increases your chances of a top player, it is obviously no guarantee.

There also appears to be no generational players this year like Daicos was last year.

Personally I’d like Warlord at pick 2. But, a combo of Philipou/Gunslinger/Ginbey/Hewett/Humphrey/etc would be significant to our rebuild. Kind of like a two for one in a sense.

As long as we improve our net position, I will be happy. I still think wait until draft night gives us the best deal when teams are desperate though.

I’ve often thought of all the players that have been in the past I’d pick Stephen and Maurice Rioli first.
People marvelling about Goodes and Fyfe would have there heads expoodle when Michael ran out and was a mix of the two, but harder

Exactly, this isn't one of those situations where everyone involved in the deal should feel slightly unhappy for it to be fair. If we're trading pick 2 it should only be because it's a ****ing great deal for us. Just pick 8 & 12 does not do anything for me, and that's without bringing Rioli into the situation at all.
And we'd better not ****ing reach for Ginbey at pick 8.
