It shouldn’t have got to this and it needs to change but right now I’d rather O’Brien focus his energies on the draft whilst Nisbett deals with trades

Delistings should be handled by Simpson
So I was criticised for being too harsh on Nessie I for not appointing a list manager and that The Pieman could do both. What is it?

Why the frock should we, in a rebuild period, be asking our recruitment manager step up and also do our list management but to be too busy do hand off to some else?

Another example where 24 years as CEO is too long

I don’t know much of Duursma - any good?

I hope he’s a better player than he is a media performer. 😅

Rioli…with the exception that I doubt we ever see Liam Ryan manage to pick up his bottom lip, we’ll be better off without the guy if the last 3 years haven’t built some loyalty to the club.

He's good. Versatile as well. Port play him on the wing but can hold down a flank at either end. Would be a win for us.

I'd rather trade Rioli and a pick to get their 1st.
Don't want any of the trash from that club.

Guys if Rioli leaves we have to replace him with Ben Ronke. There’s simply no other option.

I'm excited about the rebuild after watching Sydney tonight. Bring on the coming years. (Don't come at me with with technicalities about Sydney's access to players... I don't GAF)

Winder could potentially play Rioli's role next season. Half forward rotating through midfield.
Tyler brockman from hawks is OOC and rumours of wanting to come home . Mid 40s pick 2 years ago played well in his first year and been out with shoulder injury this year .

Drafted from subi and we were interested in him in his draft year

I don't blame Rioli. This will probably be his last AFL contract. He is being offered way more than what he is actually worth. Most people would take the money if they were in his shoes. Port must have rocks in their head offering 4 years to somebody as unstable as Rioli.

I think it is an opportunity for us. We have a player being valued at more than he is actually worth. He is late 20's and so if we think our next flag window is 5 years away then he won't be a part of it anyway. Good opportunity to to trade out an older player for a younger player. As long as we don't **** up the trade, which is not a given as we ****ed up everything else in the last few years.

It also gives you a window into Port's thinking. If they are offering overs in terms of contract value and are willing to trade out picks for an older player then they clearly think are still in a flag window.

Duursma would be a good get if he has overcome his injuries..
