Considering West Coast are looking More more likely to get the number one pick in this year‘s draft do you think trading your pick 1 for key defender Denver Granger the pick six from 2020 and hawthorns pick two or three depending where we finish for pick one would be a fair deal.

DGB is putrid… not Darren Glass or Eric McKenzie when they were young putrid just plain garden variety putrid….

Disagree, reckon he'd be a good pickup if we can do it with a later pick. Key backs need time. Dig up the old Glass thread for evidence of how bagged he was his first few years

Agree he shouldn't be any part of a pick 1 downgrade trade though

No as he's projecting as a third tall or bust and we have Bazzo for that role.

We need a next generation full back however I think we have a great prospect for that role even if it wasn't what he was drafted as.

If wce have pick 1 and you have pick 3 i would trade it for 3 and your future first.

And they would jump at that.

If they came asking remember 3 or 4 other offers would be on the table we should push hard.

We add Petrocelle and a 3rd. We get DGB and Brockmam. IMO both players would accept an offer to come home and be involved.

Hawks also have multiple father sons dropping in their laps. If they also want Ried as well they can bleed a bit to get him. And we get some cherries on top of the cake.

King put up Melbourne offering 5, 17 and 24.

Again not bad but if you want Ried add Van Rooyen and we add something.

Teal or Gilbey

I haven't seen either play this year, so basing this on what I saw over the past two years.

Teal, got some nice attributes pace for his height and skills. He can run and gun off half back, but turns it over or runs into trouble.

Gilbey, I'm a massive fan of. He's got a brilliant run and carry game, streams of half back and his left foot is beautiful. I was a tad worried about him defensively, but the champs last year he was excellent. His main worry is injury, otherwise a great player.

Gilbey might take a little longer to develop, but could be a great selection. Don't think anyone would take him with first, so could take him with second MSD pick.

Might change my mind after watching Teal tomorrow though.
