A shame that Amiss is looking good otherwise they might actually go for Darling

Amiss needs support and is still young and slightly built.

Freo's support tall forwards shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence as Darling. They are terrible.

On the West Coast, where Eagles soar, A tale unfolded, forevermore. In the realm of footy's grand design, The West Coast Eagles made a find.
Amidst the draft, a name emerged, Boyd Woodcock, the prospect surged.

With skills untamed, like coastal breeze, He caught their eye with effortless ease.
His presence, a spark in the twilight, A beacon of hope, shining so bright. The West Coast faithful, hearts aglow, Welcomed this talent, poised to grow.
Woodcock, the symbol of the Eagle's might, With wings outstretched, ready to take flight. A warrior of the oval's embrace, Blessed with agility and fiery grace.

He weaves through rivals like a gust, Creating magic, leaving foes in dust. His boot, a force that strikes with might, Launching goals in the pale moonlight.
In the land where eagles dare to roam, Boyd Woodcock found his rightful home. A bond forged between him and the crest, In the West, he'll soar, always blessed.

So, let the West Coast anthem ring, As Boyd Woodcock spreads his wings. Together they'll chase the golden dreams, Where triumph and glory forever gleams.
In the hearts of fans, the echoes last, A tribute to a union steadfast. For the West Coast Eagles and Woodcock divine, An alliance destined to intertwine.

Will be go for best avilable or a needs bases?

Maric or Buller are forward options

Woodcock as a small forward

Or a Kobe Ryan....rebound defender and probably the biggest ceiling

Rubbish.
Ginbey will be a midfield brute. He's a Dangerfield clone in his size, athleticism and explosiveness.

Hewett showed some exciting signs in the preseason and the wraps on his talent have come from everywhere in the industry.

Last year's draft crop seems to be very talented and our 5 picks are very exciting. I think we nailed the draft (and pick split strategy) and I would bet most on here agree.

I’m bullish on Ginbey, but to say he’s going to be a midfield brute yet is ridiculous. It’s all good and we’ll to play on this big name players, but all he’s learning is tackling. He needs to learn a more outside/attacking game

I’m not sure I could handle you as a player sponsor if we do pick him up. It’s hard enough reading the cheerleading that Petch gets off CC

If we didn't draft Brander we would have got Kelly and we wouldn't have this problem.
If brander worked to his potential, we wouldn’t have this problem.

If Kelly had just shown full afl ability in wafl, he would have gone higher and likely us take him sooner.

unfortunately we don’t live in that world. If I had all my knowledge now, I’d certainly make and do different things. But I cant.

You guys also thought the Chesser deal was a home run and that kid doesn’t look like he knows how to play footy at all

Ginbey is not like Dangerfield at all, he doesn’t possess Dangers aerial ability or explosiveness at all. I agree he’s a brute, but outside of that his game is limited. He’s literally Hugh Greenwood

I don’t think you could have a more negative outlook.

Lol, I don’t see it as having a negative outlook.

I think Chesser will obviously get better with more game time if he’s utilised correctly.

As for Ginbey, he’s obviously going to be better, he has a great work ethic, but labelling him the next Dangerfield when they share very few characteristics is just hilarious.

I was against the split but Ginbey looks good. Give him 50 games before you judge him. He’s athletic testing was great both aerobic and anaerobic. He’s got reasonable hands when he gets it and his kicking isn’t as bad as what I was expecting. And he obviously has the size, drive and the will for the contest. If he can learn to use his pace and running more to hunt the ball rather then just react to the man he could be great. Definitely been a shinning light this season. Don’t think he’ll be as good as Wardlaw but we’re yet to see what Hewett can do.

I agree comparing Ginbey with Danger is stupid.

He'll develop into a good player but to think he'll be an explosive Brownlow medal chance is pushing it.

He will still be a great 10+ year AFL player.

I'm hopeful something clicks with Chesser. Surely he showed something on juniors worth selecting and keeping.

Jesus ******* Christ on a bike

That’s about the stupidest thing I’ve read in a long time

I’d ban anyone who suggested that

If I suggested that I would expect a ban.

In fact Id ban myself.

Shocking suggestion. McKay on current form is worth a 2nd rounder. The guy has serious confidence issues and has lost his ability to to his job, kick goals.

I think the only way is rebuild through the draft.

No shortcuts trading spud for spud

Look at pick 54 Noah Long you never know some gems are out there

Relying on one method to rebuild any list is basically handicapping yourself whilst other clubs take every opportunity to improve.

We need to explore every opportunity to improve and balance the investment risk with reward. Finishing bottom 3 provides opportunities to pick up talent for unders.

Good to see Stocksy is still writing for the club.

we didn't need two kpf in that draft.Josh and Darling going great had just drafted waterman as a third tall. Our midfield on the other hand was thin.It was just a bizarre draft. We had troubles finding a position for Allan and tried to develop Brander as a winger as we couldn't develop him as a forward.Had we got this right we wouldn't have had to trade for kelly and use up good picks.

Cripps is a better comparison than Dangerfield imo. Though hopefully he doesn't take the likeness too far and waste the best years of his career carrying a team of spuds...
