Inequalities exist throughout the competition
Thanks Captain.
Where are the compensation measures for teams with significantly more travel burden??
We get 11 games at home where the other team has to travel to us. That give us a huge home ground advantage for half the games and a huge disadvantage for the half the games. Vic clubs get not much advantage and disadvantage when playing other Melbourne teams, big advantage playing interstate teams at home, big disadvantage when playing away. So that whole part evens up until it gets to the GF. And given there's only 1 stadium in the country that fits 100k people, there's not much we can do about that.

As for travel wear and tear? Sure, but did you miss the part of about 4 premierships (the second most), as well as 1x 300 game player, and potentially Darling and Gaff hit that mark too?

Sounds like you're complaining about being successful.

I saw that Livingstone was an emergency for the colts? Is he injured/unavailable?

Not complaining, just pointing out the inconsistency in your argument.

The AFL don’t give a shit about fairness / equality, they care about money.

The AFL don’t give a s**t about fairness / equality, they care about money.
There is no inconsistency in my argument. I'm not saying other things are fair, therefore this should be fair. I'm also not saying the AFL aren't about money (i.e. growth), and are about fairness. I agree with you on that, but it has nothing to do with my argument.

I'm saying that if we want to grow the game in non-AFL states, then we have to give them concessions. It cannot be done without.

Interesting… surely other than Curtin, ZZ and OHB are the only 2 that might be a chance somewhere (probably us with 50s). Curtin might be available for Dees pick but Swans must have something in mind…
Swans do like the WA boys. O’driscoll another possible for a late/rookie pick

Turned the WAFL Colts Grand Final on and watched the “next Pavlich” turn the ball over 3 consecutive times and then get pinned in the space of 1 minute, the guy can’t even shrug tackles.

The gap between Reid and Curtin is like the gap between Petracca and Lever.

If Waterman wants to fish for a better offer good luck to him.

He has been ill and inconsistent. 2 years would have been fair to prove his value.

I don't think Curtin has it in him to play midfield. Should be dominating in a game like this where he is a lot bigger then his opponents. He has a huge lack of quick burst pace for midfielder and struggles to impact.

Will be a long term development as I've always thought that from what I'm seeing. At AFL level he won't play for 3 years at a minimum before he builds enough fitness to impact and if his key defender will need to bulk up to match key forwards strength. 3 years before you see anything from him.

I'm comfortable with drafting Reid more then ever now.

Great news imo.

Yeah his attitude issues would be detrimental to our future.

We don't need any moppers around the club. It's like that guy you work with that hates his job and makes life miserable for everyone. Waterman I feel would be horrible to be around next season. Move him on.

Would be disappointed to lose Waterman - Solid AFL third tall that covers a lot of ground and good shot at goal. Particularly with Darling towards the end of his career.

If he had a clear bill of health, no doubt he'd have a better offer in front of him. But coming from where he's at right now, not sure he'd get a better offer elsewhere? Perhaps 2 years.

Reid number one by a mile.
Curtin doesn’t seem to put in much of an effort to chase and we already have enough of those. There’s a few kids showing a bit for late to rookie spots.
