You guys also thought the Chesser deal was a home run and that kid doesn’t look like he knows how to play footy at all

Ginbey is not like Dangerfield at all, he doesn’t possess Dangers aerial ability or explosiveness at all. I agree he’s a brute, but outside of that his game is limited. He’s literally Hugh Greenwood
Way to judge a 1st yr player...👎

Think you guys are underselling Ginbeys athletic prowess. 2.92 20m sprint and 6.15 2K (rare player to have both speed and endurance. His 2k would be quicker now too)

He's not Dangerfield explosive but he ain't Cripps slow either. Maybe Yeo is a better comparison for mine.

Maric is a hugely better prospect than Buller and I don't even really rate Maric.

He wouldn’t be far off Dangerfields metrics from a explosive POV just that danger was quicker and more athletic as well as been a more developed attacking weapon

Agreed. Danger would have a quicker first couple steps and is just wired to be more attacking. (Let be honest, he's a freak)
Ginbey is defend first at the moment, which isn't a surprise given he was a defender until fairly recently.

Ginbey is Yeo mk2

Ginbey is no slouch. Literally ran the same sprint time as Danger did in his combine test.
Honestly very exciting that Ginbey has shown all of the tools required to be a top-shelf AFL player for 10+ years.

Yeah mate because all those players above Danger are superstars! Great logic

A lot of guys test well at the combine and don’t utilise them assets in actual games

Ginbey is going to be a really good and reliable inside defensive midfielder, I’d be shocked if he ever turns into an explosive freak and one of his generations greatest players like Danger though.

On the West Coast, where Eagles soar, A tale unfolded, forevermore. In the realm of footy's grand design, The West Coast Eagles made a find.
Amidst the draft, a name emerged, Boyd Woodcock, the prospect surged.

With skills untamed, like coastal breeze, He caught their eye with effortless ease.
His presence, a spark in the twilight, A beacon of hope, shining so bright. The West Coast faithful, hearts aglow, Welcomed this talent, poised to grow.
Woodcock, the symbol of the Eagle's might, With wings outstretched, ready to take flight. A warrior of the oval's embrace, Blessed with agility and fiery grace.

He weaves through rivals like a gust, Creating magic, leaving foes in dust. His boot, a force that strikes with might, Launching goals in the pale moonlight.
In the land where eagles dare to roam, Boyd Woodcock found his rightful home. A bond forged between him and the crest, In the West, he'll soar, always blessed.

So, let the West Coast anthem ring, As Boyd Woodcock spreads his wings. Together they'll chase the golden dreams, Where triumph and glory forever gleams.
In the hearts of fans, the echoes last, A tribute to a union steadfast. For the West Coast Eagles and Woodcock divine, An alliance destined to intertwine.

You might be putting words into my mouth there mate.
The fact remains we've got 1st year player who is currently sitting 3rd for total tackles in the league this year, who has run an almost identical sprint time to the explosive P.Dangerfield did in his combine testing.

People who are somehow disappointed with Ginbey's year need to take a long walk off a short pier, the kid will be a bonafide gun.
