If i could refer you to the cheat sheet i made for Rohan, you'll notice that i also wouldn't mind the Goater selection.

Rohan's Cheat Sheet for our first pick

Step 1 - Select Johnson
Step 2 - If Johnson's gone, select Erasmus.
Step 3 - If both are gone, select Hobbs
Step 4 - If Hobbs is also gone, select Goater
Step 5 - Goater won't be gone, so uppercut yourself and read step 1-4 again.

Good call, be very wary of drafting inside midfielders that are not that flash by foot.

Has alarm bells and red flags all over the idea.

I get your point but he has near on the worst disposal by any of the midfielders. He makes Nat Fyfe look like Dean Kemp by comparison.

For an important 1st round selection I'd rather have someone who can hit the side of a barn. :thumbsu:

Goater is not a shit kick or even an average kick! I watched him plenty and promise you the guy can kick!!!

I think he's more a Shuey type than a Yeo, he's explosive over 5-10m and has great skills.

Loved the article on the AFL about him, more than willing to head to Perth and has family there. Love the fact that we've interviewed with genuine interest (although I believe we'd interview most players in each draft), as if MJ is gone he's one I'd love.

I really think he's got heaps of development left, and will be some player at AFL level.

It’s probably time to start learning about the potential draftees.

Any favourites?

Let me tell you a little story, about Angus Beef.

Some describe him as the best contested, clearance midfielder in this years draft.

What are the views on Wanganeen-Milera?
Very quick, best kicking skills in the draft, skinny and not very good at winning contested ball. Wingman or hbfer at AFL level. Could go top 10, not making it past Ports 1st imo.

Have to disagree with you hudson2006. Our KP players are shot with only Allen and HEdwards coming through. Considering it takes up to 5 years and 80 games for players to find their feet, we're in serious trouble with our big blokes.

Eagles are never in trouble with talls. Its the one are we draft and develop well in (bar Brander).

Forwards we have Darling, Allen and Waterman to hold down the next 4-5 years at least with Williams more of a FF than a 1st ruck.

Backline we have Barrass, HEdwards, Rothams as a 3rd tall, Gov for another couple and Jamison is doing well at CHB in the WAFL late last season.

Yes, I expect we will continue to draft talls every year.

One of Buzzo or Williams this year maybe.

My concern is what our team looks like in 3 years time with Kennedy, Darling, McGovern, Nic Nat all gone and Allen the only guy that looks AA capable.

I havnt seen highlights of most of the draftees, so I decided to make a large list of the players that could be our 1st pick, or around our pick. Video highlights of each of them in the link.
