Sounds like he has told them he wants out.

That is what happens when you dont get a decent go and the old blokes who do aren't performing.

Lets hope he is heading our way. Would be very nice having Culley and Robertson come in together with a Phillipou and Chesser round 1 next year. Four young mids with spring in their step and a bit of hunger.
Wow, the Beagles might actually win one with that midfield.

Far out we are in a bad place with a lot of players needing the chop.

Langdon, Reddon Gaff Foley B Williams, Duggan. These 6 players get games must be Simmos love child or something. A huge problem for us in 2023 is having them on our list. We could do so much better if we just delist trade or whatever but get them off the list come end of the season. All are easily replaced with even WAFL players right now would do a better job then them. I like us to get in some mature rookies in there place for next season with our draft haul would put us in good stead.

So many passengers today. Williams?? but he is a kid ruckman. langdon and waterman as obvious examples have a few seasons behind them - but my god compare them to the Crows equivalents. Not even top line WAFL players and that is our dilemma. Draft and trade. But we have nothing to trade out. Very smart thinking needed.

Cross your fingers and pray to hell Kangaroos take Sheezel and the Pie Man takes Wardlaw. Never has a team been as desperate for an inside mid as we currently are.

Find another ruckman too, I can’t watch Bailey Williams anymore. It’s one thing to say he’s young and he’s learning but where’s the growth? Apart from one good game I’m sorry, I just don’t see it.

I don’t care if we don’t draft a KPF/defender this year and just take all
Mids hoping to enforce some quality competition for spots, we need to restock the pond. Wardlaw should be number one target.

Would also make some enquirees of strachan at Adelaide.

Pay out Langdon. He can't be on much coin.

Trade Gaff for a late pick. Just get rid.

Ask Redden to do the right thing and retire. I'm triggered by your trigger mate.
Redden ? At least he chases and 2 way runs . Out of all our 30+ mids he deserves another year

Shuey and Kelly can GAGF . Neither of them run the other way . Shuey did until his hammys turned to paper .

Agree on langdon . Drop him to the rookie list . Can't believe we even gave him a 3 year contract

We need to look at hamish free as a rookie for cover to not expose the still bean pole jamieson

Redden should be given the captaincy of the beagles and have a mentoring role for our young mids in the wafl

The future is not redden we need to move on

First two ..absolutely.
Redden has actually been our bes mid this year and much of last. If you want guidance for some young guys coming through he's worth keeping. Shuey would be good if he can stay on the park but Kelly doesn't seem the best communicator. Problem is, we just have so many around that mark and some do have to move on. Gaff should be number 1 but is contracted. Langdon and Foley are simply not AFL players. I was watching WAFL yesterday and Nelson has got to be at least 5Kgs overweight. If he doesn't take free agency he has gotta go. For the time he's been on the list he has got worse rather than better and I can't see any improvement.

It's been a bad year really all round but hopefully things will improve after the draft and into next year. Bazzo and Hough have shown that they are AFL standard. I think Culley has shown enough that there seems to be some upside but Clark hasn't had a good run at AFL to judge. Jack Williams has a fair bit to go but looks like he can play. Chesser of course is an unknown. Come draft time it's time to be creative. If it was me I would try and trade down a few spaces and take Hewitt. Maybe we could use the trade down as well as our pick around the mid thirties for a decent 2nd rounder. That would give us a first rounder and three decent 2nd rounders.

So if Williams is so bad and nicnat is getting on why aren’t we targeting Jackson ??
Probably because of Jackson's deficiencies (i.e. shorter than desirable as well as not having a forward impact enough) and our need to spend our first pick on a potentially elite inside midfielder.

2 of Redden, Gaff and Shuey can't be in the best 22 next year. Shuey offers the most and would be effective if we managed him to play 13-17 games. Gaff is too slow, i'm open to trading him for a fourth rounder at this stage.

Redden like many have said, would be a good mentor to the young mids in the WAFL.
