He's an awesome player, but I don't see him fitting into WC's team. Another medium sized forward? Who does he displace? He would have way more opportunities in a B grade forward line like freo.

He would displace Ah chee and to cement his spot be up to being a centre square rotation late in quarters.

And we are after players in that age bracket. A bigger body and smart player.

Would Alec improve the quality of our depth? And cost nothing.

In a compromised draft we have no great picks in.

His best position was winning the footy. 3 years in and he looks like a skinny draftee.

S&C team seems completely averse to putting any size on any of our players.

Other teams exploited the short quarters with more powerful athletes. We had lots of runners with (presumably) gas left in the tank when the siren blew.

Poor use of resources.
Someone who knows Bubba has already said he hasnt been able to lift weights, so wait and see after this off season

Cedric Cox , cousin of Sam Petrovsky Seton obviously has talent , worth a rookie spot .
If I recall Cox’s brother was runner up to Matt Eagles, who was also delisted by Brisbane today, on The Recruit which was on Foxtel for only two seasons about 4 or 5 years ago.

Waterman is a list size issue. Eagles still have absiolutely zero idea what our list size is next year. We will pick him up if we can nab him as a rookie

We have also made a request to have Venables stay on as a Cat B rookie which is likely to be granted. AFL will announce some rules about it but will become a competition wide thing when you can keep players outside your main list but in a non playing role unless otherwise approved by the AFL . So they are training with your team 100% of the time, paid by your team, but dont make up the squad unless the AFL approve a list swap. So if Luke Foley gets eaten by a shark for example and Venables is on our Cat B list then we can swap Venables for Foley aslong as AFL approve. AFL can say no, he shouldnt have gone shark diving, tough luck.

We are not the only team to make this request either. Gold Coast and GWS wanted this for a long time in relation to picking up player/coaches. GWS wanted it for Mumford and Gold Coast for Rischitelli before he retired too but got told no, they have to be fully fledged rookies instead

This is f****** ridiculous, the VaFL have to be the most amateurish league in the world

What happens to rushed behinds then?
Damn fine question...I'll get back to you! ((;
Just stop doing them, rushing those behinds!
Makes it more exciting, nervewracking..
Or you could keep rushed behinds, because there's no doubt over them, no score reviews.
But rushed behinds are another inconsistency within the game, should be a (own) goal in theory?
But if anyone touches the ball after a kick and cant stop it, it's a goal.
If it scrapes the post but goes in, it's a goal. Same for a point.

Hypothetically if they announced list sizes and we couldn’t pick Waterman up because of it, I’d be extremely unhappy that we gave, say, Foley a contract extension already.

We just send Foley to Esperance to go scuba diving, invite the sharks and list spot opens up.

In what way? One is a back pocket, the other is a FP. Its list balance.
And yet if we had a spot free in the back pocket and only Foley and AW to pick from, I know who I’d be giving a chance to.
