It is said that the Chinese use the same word for crisis that they use for opportunity

You're a fantastic source of misinformation aren't you.

What I think you're referring to are the two characters that comprise the Chinese word for crisis (weiji 危机). The first is danger, the second is opportunity. To put this in context, the word for "thing" (dongxi 东西) is made up from the characters for East and West.

I guess? Never thought to analyze sayings or their veracity. Are bushes beaten around? Have socks ever truly been blown off? Who's to say.

Don’t care enough to post here about it?

I have no issue with people not caring or even hating old people like Brutalitops - but how does that translate into you thinking you can assert really dumb non facts to make your anti nervous nelly argument. If you post in a public forum you can deal with reactions to poor arguments.

Better yet, just don’t post if you don’t actually have facts or have researched it. You contribute NOTHING

😀
I'm just finding it hilarious all you chicken littles are shitting your pants and predicting the end of mankind. :D This is the best thread i have read this summer after our boards salt thread off course. ;)

Please quote posts saying this is the end to man kind.

I mean it is Big Footy and misquoting and making up stuff is par for the course to be sure.

But please.......just quote the posts saying it's the end of man kind.

I haven't read a single post saying that at all.

So what does that say?

Na we just accept we will get the flu and be ok. Like any other flu.

Has the regular flu stopped the world's biggest economy? Nope.

How many people in the world are vacinated every year to prevent it affecting more people? Millions.

How many of us have been vaccinated for Cov19? None.

As I continue to say this wont be the end of the world but no way is it 'carry on its business as usual, nothing to worry about'. Thats head in the sand Trump style denial.

People keep on saying that Coronavirus doesn't affect children. Where is this information coming from?

Think it's that they have milder symptoms rather than immunity.

Why the New Coronavirus (Mostly) Spares Children

That's what the Chief medical officer is saying you should do:
'No reason to stop going about your normal business'
By Kate Aubusson
Chief Medical Officer Brendan Murphy said Australia’s pandemic plan was still focused on containment and there is "no evidence of sustained or widespread community transmission."
He said the focus is still on returning travellers, and there is no reason for people to stop going to mass gatherings "or stop going about their normal business."
He said there was no reason to "panic-buy".
"...we do have a very advanced pandemic plan, we are working across every part of the health system to make sure that we are prepared for any eventuality.
"But at this stage, we have small numbers of cases that are controlled and the community can be reassured that there is no reason to change normal behaviours, no reason to go and panic by and do things that are unnecessary," Professor Murphy said.
The unifying message of this press conference is: go about your business as normal, we've got this under control.
The 12.48 update.
