It's Adelaide though. 1 paper and 3 sport-covering ratio stations.

We only have a handful of journos and that's including wastes of space like Rucci and Rehn.
Rehns not a waste of space. Hell, I could fit him down the end of my garden with all the other little gnomes

Geezee the power board is pathetic.
Going into their afl talk thread is like the bay.
Almost forgot about the Port board. For the last few weeks the Geelong board has become the Port board in a way, with incessant bickering between supporters when Geelong fans pop in to say helli and Crows fans reporting back to us what happened on the Geelong board every day.

I don't usually go in there. Was just going through a few teams boards. Saw that and did a homer into the hedge.

One of the things I liked about Pyke is he said he would look at the skill set of our list when determining the best game style. One criticism of Walsh was trying to turn our team into a kicking side with so many poor kicks on the list.

Quite ironic seeing peeps with their knickers in a twist about what opposition supporters have to say about us. On their own boards. Hint. You are having a bitch about them having a bitch about us. If everyone stopped bitching, the world would be an infinitely better place.

Sorry, but here's a bit more information for you, Walsh made it clear that (in his opinion of course) to win games of football in the current state of the game you have to be able to move the ball quickly, whether that be running the football GWS or Bulldogs style, or by foot Hawthorn style.

All of our players are as fast as they're ever going to be, and while the likes of Talia will never kick it like Smith or Walker, kicking skills CAN be improved with proper practice, hence we had to be a kicking side.

Of course if you're happy to be a defensive side instead of an attacking one you could try something out of Lyon or Roo's playbook, but quite frankly **** that.

Ehhh---perhaps because free agency has been around since the 1970's in American sports and perhaps because I am a Clevelander who has watched many a player move on (and---in some cases come back, i.e. Lebron) I don't get to caught up on individual players.

Good luck to him and his family---but once we get the deal we want, he isn't a part of our team and I could care less what happens to him and/or his new team.

All about the name on the front of the jumper and not the back of it. (to modify an American expression)
can't I just have a little crack at Geelong being a hole? ;)

Interestingly that we did change and improve some of our kicking options under Walsh. Our entries into the forward line from the outer wing we had our right footed players using their left to kick with to 'open' up the oval. So the change over pre-season to make everyone keep using their non-preferred foot equally during certain drills show that you can improve a players kicking ability and give them confidence to use it.

I would rather we weed out the one who constantly make poor decisions or skill errors.

Do you comprehend what you just said? A coach encouraged his football team to play football.

Perhaps he should have coached them to play basketball.
