According to this data the Crows are taking poor value shots for goal in both set shots and general play. Basically worst in the league level

Means the quality of our forward entries is awful and leading to poor shots, and anything we do inside 50 is also not leading to quality shots

It’s amazing how badly our coaches have stuffed up these first 3 games. Given where we were coming from, it would have to be some of the worst coaching the game has ever seen. We aren’t talking about a new coach here implementing a new game plan, it’s the same coach scrubbing a positive game plan and implementing one which failed 2 years ago!!!

The data is hilariously bad and it's got to be largely on the coaches

We have among the lowest number of shots on goal in the league, which means we don't get it inside 50 to our forwards enough

When we do get it inside 50 to have a shot on goal, the shot is typically of poor quality with a low expected score

And when we do take a poor quality, rare shot on goal we are going at league worst accuracy, failing to even reach the low expected outcome of our shots

One thing I heard them mention somewhere was that Burns was forward and ball movement coach.

I wonder if this means that Rahilly was in charge of our ball movement last year? If so that might explain why everything has turned to complete shit this year.

Want to be positive and hope that we come out firing and look like we did last year. Want to be positive and hope our young guys step up. But if the first center bounce is Laird, Crouch, Dawson and we see the same plodders jogging lazily up and down the ground then Nicks has still learned nothing. If its lazy chip sideways and backwards. If its dumpy, loopy, around the body kicks constantly....hell idk.

Don't think we will win unless we play out of our skins. Nicks has backed his gameplan and senior players in for 3 games...surely not a 4th time, right?

Dees by 42 points. Game will be over in the first qtr. Petrecca, Oliver and Viney to have 30 possessions each, Gawn to dominate ROB around the ground. Lever and May to both play Tom Stewart like roles.

I need some good "herbal" medicine to believe we will win.

After three games of data, I am completely convinced that losing Rahilly is the biggest impact on why we have gone so far backwards.

Go take a look at Walkers output the 3 years prior to his tenure here and the three years Rahilly was here. Fogarty also took some really positive steps under his tutelage that at the time I considered natural development with age but now that he is gone, it is clear his system/coaching is a key reason why that improvement came and he now looks to have reverted back to old wrestling habits and not making as many contests on the move.
