There was hail during a crows v Roos game years ago when Nick pesch kicked 3 crucial goals to offset the brilliance of Carey to get us over the line. I can remember crowds hiding under the concrete pillars as play continued.

Remember it well as was the only game I had been with my sister... Til the last home game v swans.

Funny thing about that hail game, is my sister usually hated footy, but for some reason joined me & my brother. Given the atrocious conditions I was expecting her to complain & was ready to give her my car keys & wait in the car. Turned out to be such an absorbing game that she never complained once & loved it... then what a couple of decades later (after being overseas) she come to another exciting close game v Swans (but great conditions). Perhaps she is a lucky chalm...

Possible shower in the evening, should stay dry for majority of the game. Sando baffled at how the AFL could schedule a game in such scorching conditions

The game will be aired live in the States on Saturday, April 30th at 12:00am Eastern time/ Friday, April 29th at 9pm Pacific on Fox Soccer Plus which is channel 621-1 on Directv.

That makes 4 out of the first 6 airing live in the good ol' USA and (unofficially) we are lapping the field in appearances. Clearly the fella's at Fox international programming know who they should be showing each and every week.

As for the game--I think the boys run the record to 4-2 with a 30 point victory.

I've watched Freo play every week and they are absolutely terrible, 2nd only to Essendon.

We should win this by a minimum of 5 goals in the wet, or 10 if its dry.

Why on earth would you be doing that? I mean I am obligated to watch the Browns get pummeled for 16 weeks in a row--but who the heck volunteers to watch?

Would not like to see DMac placed back in a spot of real exposure like Cheney. We would soon see a focus then.

...and doesn't this highlight the leg-up for teams who constantly play under the roof. Teams fighting for 8th spot or top 4th...if decided by percentage. Also for Coleman medal aspirants - where would you rather be lining up for the final kick that could win you the Coleman? Under the roof with no swirling breeze? I think so.
