...and doesn't this highlight the leg-up for teams who constantly play under the roof. Teams fighting for 8th spot or top 4th...if decided by percentage. Also for Coleman medal aspirants - where would you rather be lining up for the final kick that could win you the Coleman? Under the roof with no swirling breeze? I think so.

in the Hawthorn forward line...

Lets wait until we play some weaker sides.

Yeah let's wait till we play the crap teams like Richmond and Port.

Our defence, especially our mid/small defenders, are having great seasons in terms of generating attacking opportunities. Defensively they are having shockers (not helped by massive numbers of i50's against to be fair)

Despite how well we've been going, this will be the first game we go into as outright favourites.

Different kind of pressure and potentially a different kind of mindset.

A professional hit on a supposedly inferior side - another challenge for this developing side.

Worst weather I have experienced ever at the football & a close win made it more memorable than usual.

Also, part of my thinking why in my softer years I'm now under cover, sipping red wine or Jimmy Squire Porter, rather than being under the elements. :)
I remember that game too, the hall doesn't melt so there were hail drifts on my knee rug and banked up against the wheels of cars in the car park. Soooo cold

We can, but im not confident on the dogs at etihad. We would have to be at our best, and play four quarters.
Dogs will have played all six games at Etihad IN A ROW by the time we meet them. In that time they've beaten 13th, 15th 16th and 18th: Dockers, Saints, Blues and Lions. Lost by 3 points to Hawthorn, and don't know what will happen against North. Their injury list currently looks like this:

If we play the kind of football we've been playing, I think we'll be hard to beat.

As I said in the changes thread:

Ineffectual attack
Fyfe out
Sandilands out
Ballantyne out?
Pavlich cooked
The team winless

If we are serious about making the eight and doing damage in September, we need to be merciless and belt them hard into submission. Send a message!

Crows by 48.
Percentage booster

So it's looking more like it will be dry on Saturday. Fair bit of rain coming through early Friday then clearing then some more showers late Saturday. Saturday will be overcast with a bit of a northerly up so it'll be warmish. If it turns out this way and is dry then we should win comfortably. I was only worried if it was going to be wet and Freo would make it a slog.

I'm confident in any conditions however dry conditions will put Fremantle under the most pressure

Spot on. Take any team lightly in this league and you'll get done. I just can't believe that Freo are going to continue to be as bad as they have been either. Star player out, backs against the wall, just lost to the spoon favourites at home, expected to get smashed by all and sundry... exactly the kind of scenario to get them all fired up and come out with something to prove. We must come out like we did against Hawthorn last week, and put the foot on the throat if the opportunity presents itself to do so.

But prior to last week those things were true for Freo as well, apart from being beaten by the team on the bottom of the ladder. They have had something to prove already for each game this season and been found incredibly wanting in each and every one.

That doesn't change how we need to treat Saturday nights match.

So not very hard at all?
Neale looking VERY proppy at training this morning

The game will be aired live in the States on Saturday, April 30th at 12:00am Eastern time/ Friday, April 29th at 9pm Pacific on Fox Soccer Plus which is channel 621-1 on Directv.

That makes 4 out of the first 6 airing live in the good ol' USA and (unofficially) we are lapping the field in appearances. Clearly the fella's at Fox international programming know who they should be showing each and every week. ;)

As for the game--I think the boys run the record to 4-2 with a 30 point victory. :thumbsu:

Is that midday or midnight? :D
