Good idea, I'll be there, I enjoyed our last 20/20 match a couple years ago.

Have to question AAMI at 6.15 on a Tuesday though, I guess that would make it difficult for a lot of people who work regular hours to get to.

Good cause though, and hopefully they make it so all money is donated, including car parking and catering (at least profits). Anyway at least they are doing something and we should have a fairly good team.

SA did Vics a big favour by taking Cornsey off their hands.

I note that "celebrities" will be playing. Please not Cornes and Ebert and guys like that. Should be all palyers.

As I live just around the corner I will probably go.

From the AFC website:

Vince will head a star-studded Crows 11, which could also include skipper Simon Goodwin, former star junior wicketkeeper James Moss, Chris Knights and ex-full forward Tony Modra.

Just of interest, is anyone a CFS Volunteer?

Yeah I am Springchoke. been one for a few years. havent managed to get sent over to Victoria though, even though I`ve sent about 20 phone messages trying to go.

they seem reluctant to release too many of us for when the weather warms up again on the weekend, esp since how lucky we were on Saturday to escape what happened to Victoria (couple of close shaves).

But good on both clubs for playing the fundraiser. as much as we like to hang sh!t on each other its good that we all realise its only sport and that we can come together when needed.

having said that, I recall Simon Goodwin is an ace cricketer (played for Sturt??) so hopefully we can flog em and raise some cash

Fantastic efford old son, you guys do some good work. Same goes to any one who is a SES volunteer. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Thanks mate. Don't forget the Salvo's, St Johns, etc.

Salvo's work long shifts, day after day feeding others at those things. Kangaroo Island fire last year was a great setup they had.

You would hope not, why would they want people sitting at home watching it when they should be at the ground raising the money the match was intended to do?

Wouldn't matter as long as the broadcasting company donated the money they got for the advertising. Would raise more money from tv advertising than people going to the game.

Why is it being played at AAMI? Wouldn't Adelaide Oval be more appropriate (save having to put in a pitch for a start).

Probably easier for the sides since AAMI is their home ground, owned by the SANFL etc etc.
