Assess Mackay. Better than Thommo? I know they are whipping boys but I felt Mackay threw In tonight. That smother from his kick in the third made him look worse but he dug in. The missed kick for goal in the last set him back again. He will never be guaranteed 22. Thommo was exhausting with his htb and drops that were to advantage of the Power. If he gets Saturday 25 touches a game it seems like 50% are effective. Douglas is the other of the 2009 brigade that needs mention. He pulls out of contests. Does other good or freakish stuff. All three shouldn't be in the side next year with youth coming through and needing a taste. At this stage its resigned that they are what the selection is going to be. This is the last chance this yr and then they will be overtaken.

Mackay did some really good things tonight. And some poor things - eg getting iced by Karl Amon when the game was at crunch time. Hope he isn't in our finals team but know he will be. Even if by some miracle the coaching staff drop him then Smith, Seedsman or Atkins will trip running out of the race and be late outs.

Thompson struggling massively. Hope he's got 4 more decent games in him but fear he has zero

When we saw that go up I asked Dad why none of them who made that banner realized that their own team was about to tear it apart. I thought banners were supposed to be motivating not contradictory to what you want the team to do.

I've got an idea for their next banner, since they don't have any.

Watching him at the game, he's just a dumb footballer.

Constantly runs to the wrong spot.

Continuously makes poor decisions.

Frequently takes a terrible option.

I don't rate him, but it's the first time I've realized that.

He's another VB.

Good athlete, reasonably skilled - but completely wasted because he doesn't make good footballing decisions.

Not a mackay fan but we missed plenty of shots easier than that today. He was ok without being excellent i thought. Not many excellent at all though

Sometimes your opponent doesn't allow you to play your best.... that was Port with their little brother mentality and "If we just beat the Crows and stuff them up, our season is successful" Sometimes you grind the win to go equal top... and that's what we did

What's going to happen if we don't win the flag but account for ourselves well? Our set shot kicking was miserable again tonight. Probably league worst.
