1. Old Paradians- after 5 or 6 massive recruiting pick ups
2. Banyule
3. Emmaus
4. Old Westbourne
5. Prahan
6. St Marys
7. Eltham
8. Glen Eira
9. Therry
10. Bentleigh

Please remember I am watching from afar and really don't know any of the sides well. I only have reliable information on Old Paradians and Therry.

Well, if your predictions about Parade is true, it is about time!

When was their last senior flag? Was it 1986?
Could brabrender get to play in a flag in his 123rd season?

Probably a good idea to check the clearances on the VAFA website so you can see the comings and goings

At least 2 massive recruits - whether 5 or 6 we will have to wait and see. Good pick up getting the De La ruckman and Boundy.

I'd be lumping money on Banyule .
Beau Parthenidis
Jason Crapper
Craig Horne( or is he playing clubbies with his old mate Witchell?)
Just to name a few of about 20 recruits, severals others of whom are also very good players

So the predictions have finally started. Season 2010 is shaping up to be an absolute belter.

Predictions for season 2010:

Old Westbourne (complete and utter bias)
Emmaus St. Leos (very consistan club who were ravaged bu injuries last year)
Paradians (not too far off last year, recruits will help)
Banyule (always thereabouts but seems to falter towards the end of the season)
Bentleigh (will be the better of the promoted sides)
Glen Eira (hard to tell, if they start well they could do anything, always better the 2nd half of the season)
ST Marys Salesian (Don't know much about these guys)
Eltham (Very good at home, but can they win enough games away to pose a threat?)
Prahran (Should have been relegated last year it it wasn't for Peninsula)

League B&F: J. Robertson (Bentleigh)
Goalkicking: Boundy (OP's)

I would be suprised if Prahran are relegeted Akka, They were competitive with most in D1 last year. Pretty stiff to get relegated too.

Love this time of year with everyone trying to tip how other teams will fare thoughout the year without even seeing them hit the field!
You say you don't know much about a lot of sides, the fact is they haven't been on here spruiking and pumping themselves and their new recruits up, so there may be a few suprises come round 1 when the ball is bounced.
No one from Eltham has been on here talking about their pre season and new recruits, same with St Marys and Prahran. Come on all you shadow lurkers, get on here and pump up your club!;)

Agreed. Someone at the BEARS has done a great job to get so many recruits. Would have to be red hot favourites to finish one or two.

New coaching staff have worked their arses off in regards to recruiting however many of our recruits are young guys so it will be interesting to see how we go. All the best to all 2010.

]New coaching staff = Nick Smith?

Is this correct? Have you lost many from last year crazy, I noticed Jurgens put a clearance in?

Nick Smith??? you might be a bit confused Akka. He isn't at Banyule.
We haven't lost that many. Probably the same amount that any football club would lose each year. Jurgens has left but we have found a replacement.

After looking on the VAFA website, not much inward bound at Westbourne or Therry; however, my spys tell me an a Salesian recruit one H. Singh, (not related to the golfing great) was once a very high goal kicker in the country. Anyone shed any light.
