aquinas have gone down the interesting path of facing off against 3 teams in the division according to the vafa site
sat march 20 - aquinas v emmaus st leos
sat march 27 - aquinas v banyule
sat april 10 - aquinas v therry
sat march 27 will also see paradians v bentleigh I believe
Bentleigh has:
10 March - intra club
20 March - Heatherton (SFL Div One)
27 March - Old Paradians
Methinks clubs in D2 are holding out re clearances till the last minute. Got everyone fooled or scared I think not
I'd be surprised if this club your talking about has recruited as well as Banyule. With only one major player heading north, Banyule will easily have the D2 clubs of 2009 well and truly covered. Brockwell must be laughing. Go Bears!

Anyone Know How Old Westbourne are shapping up this year? heard they have signed a couple.
I have nothing even remotely to do with Banyule, but can say they have recruited very very well. Jason Crapper has won a B and F at Marcellin and been BOG in a B grade grand final. He will rip the competition apart, and he is only one of several very good recruits
Signed a couple, lost a couple. Time will tell if those we 'signed' are better than those we lost. For now we will just talk cliches: we are taking it one week at a time.

Looked up clearances. Old Westbourne seem to have lost about 10 with no incomings. Where have the new signings come from aka

Cmon Akka, Im hearing there are a couple of former senior VFL players gracing the lush paddocks of OLD West this year, to go with some more than competent local level senior players!

Also heard that Kris Miller has put in a big preseason?
(Akka if you boys are travelling ok mid year you reckon BC will accept a clearance, on the condition the hot water systems in the rooms have been fixed..

Kris has finally got off his extremely large backside this year and got himself fairly fit.
We are always looking for more players Scribe, can't promise anything with the hot water though.
Wont see too much of Miller for a while as he just had surgery on a busted finger!
Westbourne have lost their CHF and CHB. There are a couple of locals which have come across from Geelong District Clubs, but most of them only played twos footy there.
So they are prob a little behind where they would want to be at the moment.

Banyule with 25 new players, thats a heap to have come in - what is the appeal and what are the calibre of players?
Also lost a few to NOrth Burnswick
Bentleigh obviously have nothing to report, no improvement on list after coming back up a division
Eltham not very active, how are they travelling
Glen Eira look to have recruited well - they must be quietly confident
Parade have qite a few as well, apart from Boundy any other talent that will make an impact? How many left to chase coin in the NFL and will they be missed?
Prahran coming down a grade hasnt help with recruits - anyone shed some light on how the club is travelling at this time of year - lots of guys have left
St Leo's also coming down a div how do you see your list no recruits coming in and a few to leave?
ST Mary's will your recruits bolster up the list on from your year in d3? ALso any guns deaprt??
Therry have a couple in including one guy from QLD and an ex Ivanhoe great, ive heard they have quite a lot of numbers on the track over recent weeks. Still how do you replace Bannister & 100 goals
