two days to go and houston still havent nominated a club. Maybe this is how the way future player movement is, really why do the player need to nominate? the public doesnt need to know, the clubs, player managers, player do the negoatiaions and then trade get annouced where the player goes.

I'm not sure its actually helped much though. If he nominated a club it would put more pressure on port and that club to get a deal done. Maybe if he nominated pies they wouldn't be lowballing GC for 13.

I like a player who doesn't nominate a club. Gives his old club a chance to cut the best deal and also shows he's not a sook.
Good on him imo.

“So complicated” :tearsofjoy:

Edmund might need to delete this tweet soon.

If Carlton commit to Houston’s management that they can get it done, he’ll declare Carlton his home. There’s been more than a few murmurs that he’s keen on the Blues.

I can't see how we get it done whilst maintaining a first in this year's draft

Its a steep price, but I reckon he's worth it.

I'm happy the Pies are in with a shot on this bloke, but we may not have the capital to get it done.

Houston is certainly worth what we're reportedly offering and more.

Oh I agree what Port is asking for is fairly reasonable. I just think the draft is our priority and so we will want to keep at least one first in this draft.

I can't see him going to Carlton or Collingwood. Needs to be more than just pick 13 and steak knives and don't see either club giving more up.

Worth too much to port to give him up cheaply or fairly. 12 more months at the club and gives more time to work out a trade and with still 3 years left on his contract similar trade offers be on the table

Doesn't want to go to North, Melbourne or St Kilda according to Tom Morris.

WalshistheGOAT another long term multi-million dollar signing for Carlton

Salary cap bulging. Bring in both Houston and De Koning this year and next?

Should be plenty of brown paper bags left over for SDK and Harley Reid

I suspect it starts with GC overpaying for Noble and ends with Port accepting unders for Houston.

Also probably involves Houston telling us he won't come here to stop us chasing 13.
If the Suns list manager doesn't take that North offer for 13 he should be fired before the trade period finishes.
