I agree but we really need to focus on getting a healthy mix of inside mids for the next few seasons.

Where does everyone think Dumont will end up? Wouldnt mind him. Fits the bill. Or Patty Cripps. Can't see us drafting Acres with Yeo onboard, similiar attributes and players

I'm in the Acres camp now, would be happy with Sheed, but think we need Acres skill set and he looks to have considerable upside and his lot has been discounted because of his shoulder injury.

Acres is not one-paced.
He moves in a similar way to Pendlebury.
One of those guys that can slow the play down and makes good decisions.

Apparently recorded...
20m sprint 2.94 sec
Agility 8.28 sec
Repeat sprint 21.51 sec
...earlier in the year, which would have been good for equal 7th, 8th and 1st at the combine respectively.

Certainly has a bit of toe.

Ten I assume

Who are Brisbane getting these picks for?

Could get 14 from Port as part of the Polec trade and 19 from St Kilda who want Longer. Other picks would be involved. There are a few possible combinations involving these 3 clubs.

Loving the class of Acres. Nice height, great mark, poise, kicks goals. Would be happy with either Sheed or Acres. Think Acres has more upside.

Pick 11 Sheed
Pick 28 Acres

Dreaming.

Would Freo take Acres at 17? Or will they go for a KPP?

Freo will take the best available key forward no questions asked. This draft has barely any KPP talent. Freo cant afford to get another Key Forward to develop for 3 seasons, they need one to play in round 1 2014.

Freo are allergic to drafting key forwards

Pick 4 1999: Matthew Pavlich. Say no more. Quentin Lynch wasnt exactly a 1st round pick either.

So West Coast traded picks 6 and 44 for 11, 31 and 49. Seems like a good win for west coast. Im hoping Collingwood get a dud for pick 6 though.

I will say no more because since then you've barely drafted any and the ones you have selected have been duds. Joel Houghton? Graham Polak? Calib Mourish?

Add in the trades/pickups of Tarrant and Anthony and Freo has been a wasteland for tall forwards since Pav.

We got lucky that Lynch developed like he did, but we also weren't shy of drafting other talls in that time either which Freo have been reluctant to do.

He is a very good young player and could be anything. Got to give the kid a chance.

thats got nothing to do with it. if he doesnt get drafted by WCE, doesnt mean he isnt a very good young player.

I dont recall Mourush as a key forward. You could Also add Ryan Murphy. He was doing ok until Tarrant came in.

Zac Clarke: Pick 37 in the 2008 draft. Nic Nat was Pick 3.

Alex Silvagni: 2009 rookie draft. Not the best but better than nothing.

Tanner Smith: Pick 36 in the 2012 draft. I reckon he will do well.

Jono Griffin: Traded for pick 61 in the 2010 draft. Is a handy ruckman.

Jack Hannath: 2013 PSD pick. Yeah we got him as a mature aged 21 year old. He did ok last season.

Tarberner: The Jury is still out on him.

McCarthy will go to Freo with freos pick 16. Unless the Blues or Dogs are interested in getting him.

This little downgrade with our pick annoys me. All for Yeo. **** Yeo.

1. I don't want collingwood having anything whatsoever.
2. I have more faith in the pies recruitment team then Vozzo
3. I truly hope the club is honest and if it misses the player it 'thinks' will still be available, they come out and say
4. What the **** bro! Bontempelli will never last until 11! Eat a bag of dicks wce

This place is getting unbearable with the whining and sooking that's been taking place, and this is the exact reason having a long trade week sucks- bring it down to two weeks next year followed straight after then do the Draft.

3 weeks should be all it takes to do both.
hating this 2 month period, it is brutal.

By the way, anyone want some cement.

Apart from Murphy, you've listed three ruckmen, two key defenders and a rookie pick.

Not sure that helps your argument.

As for McCarthy, at this stage last year most thought that Freo would take Mason Shaw in the first round.

I would love it if we didnt draft Sheed. one or two guys on here say he is a good player and now this has morphed into WCE wanting him baaaaad. god we are a sorry lot.

Um he won the Lark medal at this year U18 Championships as the best player.

So obviously more than "one or two guys on here say he is a good player"

Personally I'd prefer a bigger / taller 190 cm mid with skills on both sides of the body ala Acres or someone similar.

If we do go for Sheeds at 11 Cripps at 28 is a possibility who fits the bigger mid role.

Both players would be excellent acquisition. Acres has the higher ceiling of the two from a recruiters point of view.
