Sean Tighe, who is about the same age, had a few games where he got 30 disposals. He needs to work on improving his game around the ground.
Tighe is 2 years older than Lobb.

What part don't you understand about Lobb switching from basketball and earning the #1 ruck position of a finals team pushing out Wes Lammie in his first season?

What Lobb has achieved with practically no football base is remarkable and averaging 12 disposals a game for his age and experience is phenomenal.

Of course he has plenty to learn, he's a 20 year old, 205cm ruckman with almost no experience. However, his performances at league level are good regardless of this fact.

Finally, what player who gets drafted doesn't need to work on areas of their game?

FYI, Tighe had 1 game this year where he had 30 disposals. He averaged 19.1 disposals this year. Last year where he was still a year older than Lobb, he averaged 14.7. Lobb averaged 12.25 this year. There is hardly a huge gulf given their respective ages.

I enjoy our moments together on here eaglesprem :hearts:

Nice selective quoting, why don't you address my whole post? Like how Tighe at a year older and with a strong football background only averaged 2.5 disposals more. How Tighe in 1 year raised his average disposals by about 5 a game. Somehow despite this, you think it's perfectly reasonable to compare Lobb's output with a player 2 years older than him.

12 disposals is fine for a ruckman of his age playing WAFL league footy, particularly when you consider his background. The fact you can't comprehend this is mind boggling.

Stop making excuses. It is what it is. Sure he can improve but given he is a mature age player there is no guarantee he will improve substantially. Plenty of basketball converts (and there have been many) never improved once they got into an AFL system. He is a risk with a high pick, plain and simple. No amount of spin or polishing will change that.

How old do you have to be to be a "mature age player"?

Someone who can't buy a drink on the end-of-season trip to Vegas isn't exactly mature age.

Well, legally ( :p ) but yeah point taken ....

It was a factor that worked against Jetta a couple years back, being older apparently diminished his ceiling .....

Some bloke on Facebook is saying that he saw Leroy Jetta training with West Coast today..

Just saw this on the Roos board, everyone over there seems pretty happy, one even says he's the next best thing after not landing betts...

I thought signing Robin Nahas would be the next best thing after not signing Robin Nahas
