There's a couple of posts on drafts board stating that most of the stated heights are 1 to 3cm higher than proper heights. Dont know how or why

Why would they measure them incorrectly at the combine? Makes no sense.
It's not a penis measuring contest where you do want to over inflate the measurement.

Lucas is nothing special, no improvement on Rosa. Don't see the point in adding a player like him to our list and carlton wont just give him away.

I'd prefer shep.

The clubs intention is apparently to trade our pick 24 for a player + pick and then trade that pick to Brisbane for Yeo. I guess Nahas fits that bill except he is crap at football. Perhaps we could do a deal with Carlton and give them our third round compo pick next year to get both Lucas and Yeo to the club. So my idea would be

Pick 24 + 45 (think it will be that) + 3rd round compo pick
Carlton give us pick 28 + 49 + Lucas
We give Lions Pick 28
We get Elliot Yeo

Now someone buy me a plane ticket to Melbourne and ill sort it all out

If he is free i would be keen but for this we really need to clear out some more players as i really think need to keep our 2nd round pick and get Yeo for 3rd rounder or PSD.

Would trade Rosa for the right price.

Wilson, Dalziel and Morton are not signed up and if we had to get rid of some players i wouldn't be to fussed about losing them.

I was happy to get Morton but will he ever get any better though ?

I hate giving one of our players a Roast, but frustration levels have reached boiling point with "Sugar".

I don't get what he brings to the table besides from being a good runner with above average pace?

He is soft and never goes in to win the hard ball. He rarely shepherds, preferring to run on to receive the handball. In one-on-one contests he often goes in half-hearted although he did take one contested mark last night. He gets 90% of his possessions as a cheap outlet running round the outside of packs. This would be acceptable if he was a traditional outside player.

However, Lucas' disposal is below average. He can accurately hit his man with a 15-25m short kick, but other than that he's a spray gun. To play as outside as he does, he needs to have Dal Santo or Shannon Hurn-like disposal.

Instead, we have a player who doesn't put his body on the line, repeatedly shanks the ball and accumulates 20+ useless possessions each week.


Thoughts? I really can't see why he's getting game.

Lucas did show a bit this season, a very neat player in the Rosa mould.

As an underaged in the U18's he looked and moved like the second coming of Ben Cousins - so smooth and classy, what's happened to him?

Why are we looking at Nahas?? We have had our fair share of small forwards turn to shit, I can't see how having another amount to nothing will do the club any good, we don't even need him, although having a female footballer on our list would do wonders for the image of our club.

Don't get the Lucas hate, honestly he's an upgrade on Dalziell, which isn't saying much, and will cost less too.

He's an average player but if we can get him for the right price there's a fair bit of upside.
