I can't understand why posters are writing off Ashwood they finished the season well and have retained all players & Mick is the best coach in Div 3 by a mile.

Record can you please share it with the nice readers of big footy

"Mick's" record speaks for it self that's my opinion Ashie had one of the toughest draws and came through well,nominate your best then.

You are Correct Gary, Mick's record speaks for itself. Failed at Sandown, going out in straight sets after finishing top of the ladder in his best year. Then after failing at Sandown he then took a large portion of the best players from Sandown into a team that was there pretty strong the year before and then managed to scrape into the finals and finish fourth. If that makes you a good coach then I must be sorely mistaken. The good coaches in Div 3 don't last long. They win premierships and move onward and upward.

Going by resume the coach of Mount Waverley is a better coach than Mick having worked at VFL level.
Going on last season Endeavour Hills Coach did a great job with a difficult draw and less talent to work with. IF they were to drain the top end talent of a club this year. They could nearly go all the way

Mick's ranting and raving does not cut it, and he uses the same old excuses each loss. He has one game plan that everyone knows, there is no plan B. When he evolves as a coach, wins a premiership, then he might become good coach

Ladder prediction
1. Mount: my boys have picked up a few and past players coming in, we will dominate and win that granny that we deserve.
2. Doveton: Don't think they will dominate the way people are saying. Watched a couple of their games last year and they have no where near the same quality as they did 3 years ago. Will still make it to the granny as some past players returning. But will lose the granny comfortably.
3. Endeavour: after the reserves premiership, i think the club will try and push for some senior glory. They were a decent side last year and i feel they clearly had the toughest run last year and will also be much more confident coming this year after a decent performance in the last.
4. CPL: heard they have lost players, but i still think they have enough quality to make it to the finals.
5. Moorabbin: heard they have lost a few, but they could use that small oval of theirs to their advantage and could potentially snag some surprise wins. I am just putting them here because in my opinion there is no other team that will have the quality to break into the top 5.

The teams that are just making the numbers. And I'm not gonna bother talking to much about them.

6. Ashwood: some players will go back to sandown.
7. Hallam: Will be the big improvers, still won't make finals though.
8. Sandown: will get some past players back to help them stay away from the wooden spoon.
9. Lyndale: heard they got couple past players back, won't make much difference.
10. South Yarra: Heard they have lost heaps of players.
11. Lyndhurst: will beat Dandenong
12. Will be the new southern dragons by round 10

Iv'e explained before, any club that chases and gets back players that have previously left the club will no doubt fall back into there own cow dung.

The one thing that could **** mount is lack of depth... Not much in twos and sounds like they don't get many twos players training , if they cop 3-5 injuries as most clubs do each week they could come back to the pack pretty quickly. Ashwood and e hills for me as both seem to have depth and good mix of talls and smalls. Mount will have best 22 though if they can keep them all on the park at same time is the big question mark.

Lost barr, mouritz, lello, white, cormack, graves so no on ball brigade from last year.
Lost lucas and mcmurray, so no chb and full back.
But have gained a lot of new players from a few different clubs and some very good players from crib point. But still the quality might not be as good.
