UHS' facilities are way ahead of Prahrans, in the way of changerooms & showers. Prahran stick you over the far side of the ground - shower floods, ground also not as good as it should be

Having seen them in action, some of the ACK school 1st XVIII would towel up a lot of players in D1 (until they got crunched and sat on). How many D3 players do you know who can kick a drop punt through at half post height from 65m on the wing? I watched it happen last year. If some of those kids come down, watch out in the U19s and seniors.

Poke fun all you want, it will be interesting to review these comments in July or so...

I've seen Jon Yemm at Elsternwick do it countless times.........

Apparently there has been around 30 Assumption boys at Prahran training so far with some very good players included. Could make for an interesting season. Wonder how long it will take them to gel if there really is so many new inclusions?

The same thing happened at the "House" last year and it took them to mid year to really gel as a team........ but then look wat happened!!!! With the resigning of pikey and a few of the older boys sticking around for one more year, the house have set their sights high this year and truelly believe their a red hot chance this year.

Carn the "House"

Why did pike resign i thought he did a great job at PH as you guys came home like a train and we unlucky not to knock the Jocs in the prelim final
if you guys get a good back up ruckman to help Burner out you should be flag favs

Sorry for the confusion guys, i did mean re-sign!!!!! Hopefully if big steve devine from the reserves has a big pre-season (coming off winning the reserves B&F last year) our back up ruck problems will be fine. And with the likes of saraw, norris, leske & phillips in the midfield as well as foster and avery holding down CHF and CHB, as well as edwards in his pitch hitting role as FF and FB. The mighty "HOUSE" are looking very good this year......... and there are rumours pikey is keen to have a run around in the forward line as well???????

that would be something to watch if the Pike man took to the field he might have to slim down a bit good luck to you guys i hope you do good

Heard on SEN that John Rhombotis is also playing for Powerhouse. Is that true?

Also, I've decided to bring the tipping website I created a few years ago out of retirement for 2011. I've put round one games for Div 3 & Div 4 up, so if anyone would like to register on the site and possibly give some feedback before the season starts, head to www.vafatipping.com

Surely running his own real estate company would leave bugger all time to play footy.

Division 3 2011 Ladder Prediction:

I'm tipping positions 1-7 to be seperated by 3-4 wins only, which should make for an exciting finals run with the bottom 5 to win around 3-5 games each.

1 - Yarra Valley - Alot of improvement in them.

2 - UHS-VU - Will be hard to topple at home and on the road.

3 - Hawthorn - Heard the club will have alot of new quality in 2011.

4 - Power House - Usually a bit of hype around this club. Lets see.

5 -Elsternwick - Need more depth in the reserves.

6 - Prahan Assumption - D2 relegated, demand respect.

7 - Ivanhoe - The Hoe's to be very competitive and just miss out.

8 - Mt Lilydale - Big home ground advantage.

9 - Albert Park - Solid team, but have a few weary bodys getting around

10 -Monash - D4 premiers, will be sticking around in D3.

11 - West Brunswick - No consistancy and will struggle.

12 - Kew - In great need of quality recruits and the meaning of the word TEAM.

Division 3 2011 Ladder Prediction:

Interesting... especially given you played D4 last year and can't have seen the D3 sides playing much, if at all, let alone the D2 sides.

Might just have to save this ladder prediction so I can look at it in about 6 or 7 months and see how you went.

Welcome back up. I'll see you on May 21.

brave considering they have just done the double drop, i think they will be very competitive.

Personally i think its powerhouse's to lose

My dear, young oh so innocent, rookie friend...

Many many many previous posters have learned the hard way about posting big predictions on this forum for years and years.

I'm sure your club would be pretty devastated that you would post such detailed facts about structures, positions, players etc.

As for us followers of the other 11 clubs...we want you to keep on posting so our coaches can make copious notes about each of your posts and come to the Ross Gregory suitably prepared!

Really exciting comp this year, very open.

I think Prahran Assumption will be just about unbeatable after the double drop, but two other people have just given two different premiership tips in Power House and Yarra Valley OB.

Still 81 days away from round one, and I'm already looking forward to it.

You are right, I only saw one game of D3 last season. I have two mates who play at Parhan and a couple down at Hawthorn who kept me up to date....sought of! It is maybe a little early for the annual ladder predictions but if work gets any slower I may be posting on here a dozen times a day. Plus I thought I"d get it rolling. Last time I played D-3 I only managed 4 senior games for the season so am amped up for a big pre-season as are all the boys. Richard will be better after a year under his belt aswell as half a dozen fresh faces before christmas having a run around. Bring it on!

... and yet you rate the team you beat in the D4 Grannie two spots higher on the ladder than your own boys?!

I'm thinking the teams ranked 7-12 will be around the same win-loss. Just dont want to predict us playing finals yet, as I said we'd be happy to be competitive and stay up in D3 for 2011-2012.
