Rubbish. I know some who works closely with Shaw and that's just not the case. His talks were far different.

Yeah, because a bloke that is being given an ultimatum is going to tell everyone both sides of the story. Please, Shaw is an adult, he had plenty of opportunities in his career to pull his head in.

Err ... duh! Imagine a bloke says to you, we either kill you now, or you can sign this contract and we'll kill you in 2 years instead. Are you gonna sign it? Of course you are if you want to keep living. Then in two years time everyone says you wanted to die and they didn't murder you, coz you signed a contract.

Turn it up!

This isn't about murder buddy.

The bloke could have left and coached elsewhere. He decided to stay.

Was it just me or did Pendlebury not look too happy when he received his award at the B+F? Or maybe thats how he always looks...[/quote]

Just how he is I think, he always looks slightly bored when he talks to me.

Its the classic hypocrisy of when a player leaves Eddie has a go at them for not being loyal, but of course the club can flick players whenever it wants, even if they want to play on and have played at collingwood their whole career like Didak. Giving Didak and Jolly etc the flick is the right call, but Eddie doesnt have to backhand Thomas, Shaw & Co on their way out of the club.

Theres apparent culture problems at Collingwood and a mini exodus...but we all know from the workplace that while you can have some just bad workers, alot of the times it starts from the top. I think Eddie and Buckley are taking a hard line stance 'my way or the highway' approach and its rubbing some players the wrong way. Its never enjoyable to work in those kinds of environments.

You "think", huh? I think Evangeline Lilly should serve me cold beer while dressed as Princess Leia in Return of the Jedi, but it doesn't make it real. One player has left rather than being told to leave this year. Stop making stuff up.

And yes, it's just you. That's how Pendles always is. Softly spoken and understated, but with plenty to say. Stop making stuff up.

Oh, and could you refrain from making stuff up?

Now you've made me want to listen to some Exodus.

Two years ago the group was tight, settled and successful.

Now the culture is rooted.

Ask yourself: what's changed? It's not the players.

You can't really play the troll call about Hird because you can't say what has changed and hasn't with the players.

Who knows if they are content with climbing the mountain or not. An outsider like you is merely guessing at the cause of the change in culture.

As an Essendon supporter who has had their club crippled by one person over his head, I think you are trying to misplace this anger at something else.

Typical trolling bullshit, of course when asked a question about your own club you'll refuse to answer.

There's a whole board devoted to Hird and Essendon.

You're the one trolling Collingwood mate

The group 2 years ago tight and settled? lmao how do you know that, you don't even support the club.

Buckley seems to be having a massive clean out and making wholesale changes to a team that didnt really need it.

When Collingwood doesn't make the top 4 serious changes need to be made, that's the kind of team we are.

We expect Excellence, no one makes any apologies for that :thumbsu:

You may not have noticed the thread title, but I'm staying on topic, you're not. That's trolling.

Of course they were - they'd won 42 of the last 50 matches, a premiership, another GF appearance, and no senior players were leaving the club.

How on earth can you say that's not settled and successful?

Sigh...

Just because they were winning games doesn't mean you can saying the players off field were settled, none of us can say for sure either way unless you are part of the inner sanctum.

since 2011 we have had a huge turn over of players, well over 10 new guys at the club, plus new coaches ect ect, plus things change over time.. so to say its Buckley's fault for sure is laughable.

As was said at our B and F, we are a club that demands excellence, we don't cheat, we demand side by side and selflessness. Bucks is just fixing things up before another serious premiership tilt
