Their defence is strengthened
More options at least but it depends on the match ups. Lobb's still the biggest threat. Logue will compete and Amiss they wouldn't know much about.

Their better on the outside i think with Hunter, Johanissen. I had a moment watching in the last quarter in Rd 21 where a couple of the players who have been dropped (West, McNeil, Garcia) popped up for a possession or two and I felt like 'who's this bloke" as I hadn't even noticed they had been playing - or felt like went missing for large parts of the game. Bruce also had very little impact apart from one contested mark and goal at the top of the square.

Hunter maybe had his best game of the season against the Hawks in Rd 23

Switta is a good in for us, although Tucker had a good start to the game and had a couple of goal assists in the first quarter. Tabs was pretty much done at half time but we had him on the bench and were playing one short for the 3rd quarter before we decided to sub him with Henry.

Makes it interesting who to play on him. Only bloke tall enough is Pearce but I imagine he’s pencilled in for Naughton. Darcy could be a mare for Cox. Kid is smart with fantastic hands.

Darcy is about 20kg under weight. If he plays on Cox he’ll spend the whole game being nudged under the ball. Would be surprised if Darcy gets more than a goal and 10 possessions.

Sen was saying the most important player on the ground will be Darcy lol

We're the only actual young team this weekend.

  • Geelong are ancient as everyone knows.
  • Richmond, Brisbane, Melbourne are all 26+ and 120+ games.
  • Noted "young" side Collingwood is actually the second oldest and only slightly less experienced than those three (they have 8 150+ gamers).
  • Other noted "young" side Sydney is just shy of 26 and 120 games.
  • The Dogs are actually reasonably young at 25y 4m and 103 games, but still have 11 100+ and 6 150
  • Then there is us, even with the oldest player come in at 24y 8m and 80 games.

We are babies. A win or two is massive.

To have had such a winning season, and be hosting a home final, with such a young team should give everyone hope both for now and the next several years to come.

Tells you how much Jye is rated internally at Freo, if he has a good game and we get up he’ll be a folk hero for the rest of his days

Have Clive & Kepler been consulted ?.

Entry to the “Cult Panthenon” must be earned, not given out willy nilly.

Ballsy selection, but maybe he is one of those players who blossoms getting good delivery and playing next to elite players. Goes up a level.

Go in with 22 fit players, rather than players getting a game on reputation, but not 100%.

I'm not sure Amiss is 100% fit. He's played about 80min of footy since a very long layoff and kidney surgery.

360 was giggling last night talking about how great it would be to see Sam Darcy go forward and kick five, 'announce himself on the game'

... Be kind of funny if it was Amiss instead

Be kind of funny if it was Darcy instead, the Sean version.

Amiss back is certainly big show of confidence from JL. Lineup seems a bit tall but the BOM says likely rain for the morning and arvo and less so for the evening
