Surely Kennedy is ahead of Mitchell at this point?

Adelaide: Dangerfield
Brisbane:
Carlton:
Collingwood: Pendlebury
Essendon: Watson
Fremantle: Mundy
Gold Coast: Ablett
Geelong: Selwood
GWS:
Hawthorn: Mitchell
Melbourne:
North: Swallow
Port Adelaide:
Richmond: Cotchin, Deledio
St Kilda:
Sydney: Kennedy
West Coast:
Western Bulldogs: Griffen

Neither is cotchin , your point is ? They both have worst efficiency % than the bold players and need to kick more goals

I am also a hard marker , I don't have goddard or stanton in red nor Griffin from WB

Rubbish.

Mitchell has the 3rd most effective disposals for 2013 (behind Cornes and Birchall), he was 2nd in 2012 and 5th in 2011. He was also equal #1 for goal assists in 2012.

So you can't possibly argue that Mitchell has poor efficiency.

And Mitchell has been doing it consistently since 2006. Dangerfield how long?

Harbrow? He's had a great year off half back but if he is nowhere near Elite, let alone being an elite midfielder. O'Meara has been better at him in the middle at Gold Coast but you would be hard pressed to call him elite this year.

What are you talking about, Mitchell is one of the most efficient midfielders in the competition. He is operating at 71% disposal efficiency, higher then any of the other bolded players. His disposal is elite.

Lmao at Harbrow getting thrown in to a elite midfielder's list.

Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Watson, Selwood, Dangerfield, Mitchell, Hodge & S. Johnson are top echelon. Nobody else bar maybe a 100% fully fit & firing Beams.

It depends on firstly how your rate the midfielders and secondly how many elite players there can possibly be. For me it would be:

1. Gary Ablett
2. Joel Selwood
3. Scott Pendlebury
4. Jobe Watson
5. Dane Swan
6. Trent Cotchin
7. Josh Kennedy

For mine those are the elite midfielders of the competition. It takes prolonged success to be considered elite and I would expect Dangerfield to be in their at the end of the year. Recently imo we have probably seen Judd and Mitchell slip out of that elite bracket, although they are still good.

The next lot of midfielders would go imo:
8. Patrick Dangerfield
9. Ryan Griffen
10. Marc Murphy
11. Sam Mitchell
12. Andrew Swallow
13. Brett Deledio
14. Kieren Jack
15. Chris Judd
16. Travis Boak
17. Nathan Fyfe
18. Brendon Goddard
19. Scott Thompson
20. Tom Rockliff :)

Players that elite, no argument:
Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Watson and Selwood

Players that are either elite or very close
Dangerfield, Cotchin and Kenndedy

Players that have the potential to be elite one day
Deledio, Griffen, Fyfe, Murphy, Martin and Jack

Players that have been elite and are still very, very good
Judd, Mitchell, Bartel

A Graders who will probably never be elite
Boyd, Ward, McVeigh, Swallow

Perfect list IMO , just one change and maybe because it's my bias Essendon glasses I think Zaka could be in the section of "Players that have the potential to be elite one day" oh and maybe Dwayne Beams also . . .

I mean more as an overall. He's a better kick, more versatile, better shot at goal and more often than not is the player dragging others across the line.

Cotchin is a deadset gun, he's a machine in traffic and never backs down, can take a great grab (but so can lids) but I really think his kicking is inconsistent, probably his only downside.

Pretty good list actually mate, from a Cats perspective I'd put Stevie J in somewhere.
