Bit of gossip thats probably not related to the Tigers but interesting none the less. Danyle Pearce from Port is seeking a 4 year deal somewhere. Basically anywhere but Port or Melbourne. Would think 4 years is a bit long for a player whos been in and out of the team in resent years.

Not by much.

Please, feel free to read it yourself - missed 2 this year, 3 last year, played every game in 09/10, missed 1 in 2008, and 3 in 2007. No more than 9 games out since he broke into the side in 2006.

Not sure how many of those are injury/suspension.

I can think of three clubs who may be silly enough to take Gus

1. GWS taking Brogan's role of protecting the kids and Giles' workload.
2. Saints as backup for McEvoy. They desperately need another ruckman
3. Bulldogs if they lose Minson to GWS or as a free agent.

I like the idea of gaining GWS' third rounder, but I think the Saints are the most likely

Pretty much going to form with that..i mean they opted for Patto, so I guess they can see something that 99.9% of the world's population cant. They must have that sixth sense, seeing as they opted for Fiora, Patto and Polo in previous "visionary decisions".

In and out of a team that has been a rabble, including the brains trust. IMO, if I were handing out the shopping list, his name would be pretty much around the top of the list of gets...he has pace, balance and top disposal and would fit in perfectly with the likes of Cotch, Lids etc around him..

would add some outside run and carry to the team as well. only question i have is can we carry nahas, king, foley, pearce, in one team? would you consider that too many players around 175?

I'm on the fence with Pearce. I Wouldn't be dissapointed if we got him - he has match winner qualities. My concern is his consistency, whether he deserves a 4 year contract and decent coin - and I think perhaps an inside mid is a a greater need for us. I'd much prefer we went hard for Caddy.

I see Pearce being more similar to Houli than those four, I reckon we could get away with him at half back or a wing

I think he'd be much more consistent playing for us as he would be about third or fourth in line for a tag, I could see him being a real asset to a team like us.

Hypothetically if we were to pick him up we could probably concentrate on the draft more rather than going after Caddy who is looking likely to go to the Saints according to what I've read on the Drafts board

yeah that surprised me too. Thought he had missed a lot more to be honest. I agree reckon he could be a handy player, not sure on 4 years though.

We've already made 6 changes to the senior list... let's say we make 2 more being White and Graham/Derickx being traded/delisted, that then gives us 8 spots to fill. I would say we would draft (to the senior list) no more than 4. Which then leaves 4 spots... Knights and Chaplin are 2, we obviously have plans for at least 1-2 more.

I think what our biggest problem has been and specialty this year when players like cotchin deledio and Martin get tagged we never seam to have anyone els stand up and be the difference in the game and peace could be that difference that changes the game ? And would also take pressure of other players such as Grigg and tuck

I quite like the idea of Grigg on one wing and Pearce on the other, four years would not worry me at all and we are due for a couple of good pick ups from Port

He did a job on Lids in Round 23 also. He really is a cream player not your core group, however with TC, DM, BD, NF, SG etc he can play that cream role.

Good call. Could really see him being a run with type that is super damaging going the other way. Big upgrade on Jackson seeing he's getting on a bit. Seems to be a good kick, loves a goal and could be a possible rotation through mid/wing. Like it.
