I preface this by stating I have not seen a replay of today's incident, nor do I intend to.

But I think we're at the point now where some select Arsenal fans in here need to stop being silly with the rhetoric that the referees and the world are against them. Complete BS. Luck does go your way at times as well.
Never…

Just saw the gomes red. Arsenal fans claiming straight red but pretty much identical challenge from Lewi-Skelly wasn't worth a red. Lol.

Identical.

Is this meant to show something prophetic?

It's like AFL fans showing the free kick ladder to argue their club is hard done by. Nothing in the rules says things like this have to even out.

If Mikel didn't coach his team to be Dark Arts FC you'd cop less cards.

Just seen the Arsenal red card. Looked like a trip from the wide angle which would be a yellow, but then another angle showed clear studs halfway up the leg. So a nailed on red card.

Wouldnt say a nailed on red, but there's definitely an argument for it.

Studs showing, and could have done serious damage.

Don't think there was any malicious intent, but there doesn't have to be.

It's all Mikel's fault.

Got it.

It’s probably one that’s not always given so a little harsh but I must be missing something to cause all the outrage about that Arsenal red. I understand he just meant to trip him but he got it wrong and caught him high with his studs. The fact that it was cynical with no attempt to play the ball probably didn’t help him get any benefit of the doubt either

Yeah a lame attempt. 0 fans in it now, 0 fans in it after it opens
Expect that from some on here, but you're better than that.

Consider yourself admonished.

How many of those with VAR? Has he been sent to the monitor on any that he has given under VAR?

You're usually level headed as to not buy into the crap you have here.

Now the reds have been shown, and they're warranted.

On behalf of the Arsenal fans I would like to sincerely apologise for putting you all in such a triggered state that you feel the need to continue discussing this amongst yourselves almost 24 hours later.

It was not my intention but I can see that it has had a very negative impact on this community.

I have asked the moderators if we can offer any EAP program for the members affected and will be in touch shortly.
