3rd round replays shouldn't have been scrapped. Understand no replays 4th round onwards as unlikely to be lower league teams competing.

Tamworth would have made 1m from a replay away to Spurs after holding them to 0-0 at FT.

That's a whole year of turnover for them and would have set them up for years to come.

Replays are fine to be scrapped, on this specific situation yeah it's horrible for Tamworth. But it's a once a year, once every couple of years chance of happening? Why not just let the lower placed teams pick the venue so it's less of a chance

Or just do something more sustainable in general, maybe distribute all of the ticket sales for each round evenly then or something else.

When replays were scrapped they should have relaxed the rule on lower league teams not having the option to switch the ties to the bigger capacity stadium. The part time players and the club's supporters get a day out at a Premier league ground. The club will earn much needed funds to improve their facilities.
