If we had replays then Tamworth probably wouldn’t have made it to the third round, they would have most likely got knocked out by Burton.

Football should be about winning. If it’s better for a team to draw so that they can get a replay then the whole thing is broken. Scrapping replays will be beneficial for lower league clubs overall because it means more of them will get further in the competition.

As I said at the time of all the outcry about replays being scrapped, if clubs are relying on replays/big Cup draws to survive then football finance is broken and there needs to be more structural reform than just expecting clubs to rely on chance in a Cup draw.
I don't think Tamworth were relying on it fo survive. They could have used the replay money to push into the next level. I think I read that because of their cup run so far they were able to appoint the manager full time

Agree with that. Clubs should be able to play a big side at home (where they have a better chance of progressing) without seeing it as an opportunity missed.

Funding has to be better balanced across the leagues, and unfortunately the reason it isn't is because of premier league clubs greed.

Amazing to think that any Domino's pizza was better than Havertz today
What an indictment. Dominoes pizza is about as shit as their social media team.

I hate the idea that lower league.clubs should be able to select the venue for cup ties.

So many memorable matches at lower league stadiums, so much money to be made from playing at big stadiums.

I fear money would win every time and we'd lose much of what of what has made the competition so great.

Replays should never have been scrapped.

3rd round replays didn't need to be scrapped. 4th round onwards made sense.

He gave Arsenal supporters the same sick feeling in the stomach as you do after eating one of their pizzas

None of their tweets are even funny. They are just making fun of footballers for the **** of it. Weird.

That sounds like a lot of UK social media accounts.

Yeah I don’t think money should come into the discussion about replays. There’s more than enough money in football already, if smaller clubs need the extra money existing funds just need to be distributed better.

Same with if they draw a big club at home that is where the game should be. Last night watching Tamworth go close as a neutral was great, but let’s be honest the environment and pitch especially played a huge role in that. It becomes a lot less interesting if Spurs had them at home and put them away early playing their usual football.

The problem is this just doesn't happen. We all know it doesn't happen. The rich clubs are constantly getting richer and the poor clubs are constantly near going under.

Let’s go the whole hog. (edit: this is not intended to be serious).

The lower division team should be able to place a price to the higher division team on the game.
Play at home? no cost.
Play away? $1M.
Forfeit to avoid fixture congestion? $5M.

Not fair. Our owners are too tight to ever take advantage of that

Lower league teams are not in the FA Cup to win it. They want to get through rounds 1 and 2 then play a big club in round 3 for the financial boost that it brings. A replay has the double benefit that the little club gets the revenue from sharing a 50,000 attendance and also a game on their home turf. I agree with Zidane98, replays should have been retained in round 3.

But if replays are abolished I don't see the harm in giving clubs the option to switch ties to the bigger ground.
