Brisbane were determined to do the bare minimum to win, let's be honest.

Good game though, albeit slightly tainted by some poor sportsmanship from Aine McDonagh.

Whoever gets Brisbane in a prelim will be licking their lips.

Hawks didn't work anywhere near hard enough defensively (6 goals over the back the evidence). Hawks also extremely fumbly under no pressure. To only win by 1 goal is actually pretty poor in the scheme of things
You've made the assumption the Lions were playing their best.

Plot twist: Brisbane were also off their game.

Typical sour Hawthorn supporters lol

Just like last year.

At the ground, it wasn't as though the Lions were playing poorly.

Also, 12 shots to 8 - hawks are just terrible at goal kicking
4 more shots in AFLW means nothing since all it takes is one good defensive press locking it in 50. No AFLW team kicks accurately like this in f50 congestion. It’s actually a bad game plan if your team is meant to score goals.

Hawthorn had many chances to cause the upset, sometimes as simple as that
First quarter came back to bite. Should have been up by 4 goals at Quarter time.

Strong wind to the left of screen, favouring the team up by 2 goals at QT. Same situation as last night, except it's the away team in Richmond who comes home with the breeze.

Probably too busy booing?

But you're saying we should have won by more despite having less scoring shots? Sounds like we were playing well. You've convinced me.

1 goal against a fumbly side playing their first final, at a ground they've never played at.

It must really bug you that the hawks fans aren't concerned.
Many tipped us for the spoon this year, much like the mens. We are enjoying the ride and like where the team is going

10 seconds left in Q2, ball up at half-back and you leave the D50 open with a 1-on-1 deep. That's a shocker from the Tigers, could be the thing that sends them on an early holiday.

Your girls must've been so disrupted sleeping in their own beds, hey? Swings and roundabouts.

I'm glad for your team - they've been good to watch today. I thought they were the better team today. Good midfield and a good coach (funny that). I thought a few of them got a little distracted by the occasion. We definitely weren't at our best though.

It just amused me how vocal the home crowd were at the umpiring decisions despite being on the positive side of the count. Sounded like we were playing in front of a West Coast crowd!

Dowrick has not been recording huge numbers this season, at least partly because of the kick-heavy game style. But even so, for Port to be up by 13 at HT with only 6 touches from her, it's a dream result.
