Hunt may have something to say about that

Hunt, Street and Ward, with the obvious talent off Wylie (few seasons away though). We have a number of openers, not as sold on Pucovski as I was 2 years ago, I don't love having a player that is suspect to being knocked out with the drop of a fingernail. He needs to play for 2 years and no concussions first.

I still have big wraps for Will.....has started the season off slowly and I agree he needs a good solid couple of years in shield cricket

Personally not considering him for 12 months. Develop in Shield perhaps a county season.

Wyllie might come along sooner then people think....though he does need to be opening at shield level, with Whiteman and Bancroft currently in those roles, may not happen for a while.

Such awful news about Pucovski. We're going to lose him :(

It should hopefully cause some people to think "well shit, if a cricketer with all the resources available to him can't get the right mental health support, what hope do the rest of us have in a broken mental health system?"

That's it for Pucovski for mine, can never play more than a few games in a row without an indefinite break.

Just as well it's not up to you.

I don't know Will, but I have a hell of a lot of experience with mental illness.

I think they probably have to raise the bar before selecting him again. But you don't tell him this, because I suspect the only reason he's still playing cricket is that he needs the light at the end of the tunnel. He needs hope for his recovery.

If that weren't important to him, I think he would've given it away by now, it's just too much that's too hard.

Yep and can’t be relied on to not pull out with these things. Can move on and we have Renshaw, Hunt, Street plus Wyllie is coming on.

It should hopefully cause some people to think "well s**t, if a cricketer with all the resources available to him can't get the right mental health support, what hope do the rest of us have in a broken mental health system?"
I obviously feel for Will and hope he can get himself well again, but damn if I’m being honest as someone who has dealt with mental health issues of my own, I’d love to have what is probably indefinite paid leave to get well, but the vast majority can’t.

CA with no eye to the future with the bowling attack

Shield games basically mean f**k all

Going to be interesting to see how cooked our bowling attack is come the tests against SA

Our bowlers will dine out against a wea

you cannot blame langer any more luke

I can blame McDonald and his Victorian mates being picked!

So what was the point of 3 rounds of Shield games? Head/Lab kept failing but no matter we'll just assume that your test form from last summer will remain the same.
In fairness, Lab is legitimately elite
