I know the idea has been thrown around a few times on here, but is it time we give Himmelberg some exposure to playing as a KPD?

He's not cracking in to the forward line ahead of Thilthorpe.

Behind Butts and Murray we have no pure KPD so we need to get creative for this season.
You would have had hoped he would already be training as a defender if that was the case and there have been no reports.

And yet had he found a new club he wouldn’t have stepped away.

Still think we wouldn’t have traded him if we could?
Yes, but only a Victorian club. Probably first time I believed that a player moving back to a home state was in best interest of the kid/player.

Hope he recovers well and gets onto another list.

Not the first career to never take off. I still think the strategy to fill the spine, given they take longer to develop, then fill with mids was not a bad one.

Unfortunately it has only partially worked, with a large CHB sized hole in our rebuild. It is well known we could have had a mid gun in there instead, wouldn't be a tall one though (Serong 179cm).

Perhaps we wanted it to work more than anything, which blinded us to the issues Fish might face, but clearly nobody could anticipate COVID and health issues that eventuated.

These things just happen, we filled the hole with Murray out of the bush league, and we all need to move forward. It does open a SSP list spot doesn't it?

On a personal note, good luck to Fischer. I can't imagine not wanted to pursue a footy career, giving one up is almost unfathomable, it must be a serious condition.
