Continued in Part 2

Have just read about a young Gold Coast jockey killed in Singapore, his name is Tim Bell. Do we know if he is related to our Tom?..

....being aware that Bell is not an uncommon name, just wondered.

Given the size of Tom purely from a physiology point of view I'd be pretty surprised

Don't think so.

Tim Bell was a very good jockey in the making. Has had a bit of trouble with driving offences etc but a lot of jockeys have their dramas. Not sure what the full story is surrounding his death but it is very sad.

Amazing how much talent we picked up from the 2013 draft:

Pick 22: Darcy Gardiner
Pick 25: Daniel McStay
Pick 28: Lewis Taylor
Pick 33: Tom Cutler
Pick 34: Nick Robertson
Pick 62: Jonathan Freeman
Pick 75: (Rookie Promotion) Justin Clarke

Having a look at the coaching lists on the AFL site, by my calculations, the ex-Lions are:

Craig McRae - Richmond
Josh Drummond - North
Brad Scott -North
Amon Buchanan - GWS
Luke Power - GWS
Nigel Lappin - Geelong
Blake Caracella - Geelong
Chris Scott - Geelong
Michael Voss - Port Adelaide
Justin Leppitch - Brisbane
Ben Hudson - Brisbane
Simon Black - Brisbane

A tidy collection of playing talent in their day. That doesn't include others at clubs in other development or non-coaching roles.

Not claiming Ross Lyon - No.29? probably after the greatest No.29 for the Lions ever

Crows Tom Lynch for both Goal assists and contested marks?

I think Crows Lynch was goal assists and GC Lynch was contested marks.

They really have to stop this same name nonsense: two Scott Thompsons as well. They should draw straws and the loser gets a nickname from BT instead!
In the late 70s, Collingwood had two Graeme Andersons. They weren't brothers as far as I know.
