Yet it appears many are happy to conside Mike Pyke??? I would have thought chalk n cheese in terms of footy skills n smarts. Dawes was under a heap of pressure this year when he and Cloke both went off the boil but with us as a 3rd tall who can pinch hit in the ruck I thought he could be quite an asset. Good insurance for TV also.
i think yesterday was a one off, it does start at 3pm
Ah cool, thanks guys.3pm again today.

Statistically, Dawes has not had a single better year than Vickery had in 2011... just to give some perspective. Make of it what you will
Haha, sorry only first part of that post was directed at youI can see Dawes is poo without making anything of his stats.
Maybe playing the SANFL?Jesse White to play for a South Australian team next year.
A pic of a plane ticket to Adelaide went up on twitter, and was taken down 5 mins later. Hardly conclusive, but I would think a pretty strong indicator.
Part of the KT deal? Or Port desperate to actually field a team next year?
I'd much prefer to go into next season with Jack and Vickery, even Griffiths and Astbury floating through - than over paying for a big, slow fat arsed and over rated bloke who's had 1 good year... and even then, it was just good.
Not really what i want to see happen tbhTigers are talking to Jarryd Moore from Swans.

IMO Dawes can't pinch hit either. He's like chucking McGuane in there and then it also screws up his forward work by being thrown all over the place. Not sure I suggested over paying. Sadly neither Griff nor Astbury can pinch hit in the ruck which is my primary interest. Another year like last year with either or Ivan injured and the other running out of steam would be disappointing. The ruck stocks on offer seem pretty bloody thin to me so we need to be a little creative if we want insurance and I certainly dont think Dawes is the worst option out there but hey you are welcome to your opinion also and I am open to better suggestions.

So after all the talk we're not really going to do much.

Yeah you didn't suggest it, but if we were to get him - given Melbourne's interest - we'd have to pay overs I think... I know what your saying about Maric, and it is a real concern. But I think Dawes proved this year - that he can't pinch hit in the ruck either. In fact having to do that ruined his year IMO... Don't underestimate the impact a fit Vickery will have to our team next season.
