Chaplin a definite out?
Would be very surprised if we won this. We don't match up well on Freo, their midfield spread is so deep and we've never gone well against their structures.
Our game against Freo at Subi last year was our most comprehensive beating for the year, we were just dominated.
Pav out is pretty big though.
I hope not as he is a major liability when the tide changes .Nahas is a monty. Dont get the hate.
Experience is still invaluable in our squad. Yes u could replace Tuck with one of those guys but I reckon we lose far more than we gain.I think the thing about tucky is he isn't irreplaceable anymore. Lonergen, helbig, Arnott, even vlastuin can replace him and play very similarly. Sure, might be a bit of short term pain. But plenty of long term gain
Jack Watts didn't play the week before last then came straight back inDidnt play last week at all so he shouldnt be considered. (unless he was out for personal reasons, then he would get a call up)
I would like to see something like this.

With Conca out for a month I'm really worried now. Depth getting majorly tested.

Let's play him in a role he is familiar with to see what he has got , rather than trying to hang him out to dry in a role he isn't familiar with ala round 1.Yep Ellis onto ballantyne let's see what you've got.
Raises a good question, what is his preferred spot?Let's play him in a role he is familiar with to see what he has got , rather than trying to hang him out to dry in a role he isn't familiar with ala round 1.
But Jack is a superstarJack Watts didn't play the week before last then came straight back in
Maybe you should just "Hoist your own Petard"If i read the name pettard one more time Im going to ******* jump out the ******* window!
I'm backing Dimma to stick with the standard structures and maybe inject a bit of extra foot speed to use the big Subi space.
Batchelor for Chaplin. Batch plays both tall and medium and is a good interceptor.
Helbig for Conca. Helbig can play HB and midfield (third rotation) and is in very good form (says Tim Clarke).
Dea for Morris. It's time for Dea to show that he can make the grade as a defender/midfielder. Walters and Ballantyne would be a good test of his agility and smarts. (Newman, Petterd, Ellis and Helbig will also be looked at for guard duty on Walters and Ballantyne.)
I would also not be surprised if Nahas and White find their way in to the team (possibly at the expense of King and Knights), but Dimma may baulk at that given the unsettling effect of such a large number of changes.
Finally, Tigger is due for his debut, but I think he might have to wait one more week.
Be shocked if Helbig played this week. He's coming off a 5 day turnaround after playing a full game in which in the second half there were NO rotations. Vlastuin, Dea, Batchelor, Nahas and White were all given shorter game time so if there are any replacements they would come out of these 5. For Helbig to play would be an indictment on our player management.

Think again
