Cloke only takes 1-1 marks.... not a pack mark. JR takes pack marks, Harry Taylor takes pack marks, but Cloke takes 1-1 marks

Freo were comfortable against a depleted WC, struggled but got over the line against the ultra crap Dogs, and in one of the worst games ever played somehow let the Bombers score their 3rd goal in the 3rd quarter and blow a 6 goal half time lead, and were pathetic against the Hawks.

They are in terrible form, and apart from a terrible 3rd quarter against the Pies our form has been solid, but not brilliant. If both teams play like the last 4 weeks we should win by 3-4 goals.

Yeah...nah. Did you watch the game against Essendon? Freo won all of the stats and should have won the game but for woeful kicking. Against Hawthorn, the game was lost in the first quarter. Freo drew the second quarter, won the third and kicked 3 of the first 4 goals in the 4th quarter to get within 16 points.

If both teams play like the last 4 weeks and the game is at Subi, Freo should win.

From his days at the Saints and that's followed through to Freo.

Thats true but he had a lot of other teams sorted too. however that doesnt mean you cant over come this either.

don't mind grimes on ballantyne. won't get sucked into the neckless stooges antics and can hurt him with good disposal out of the D50.

They usually email Maurice Rioli Club and 3121 members on Monday and Tuesday asking to click on a link to register if you`re going to attend, but this week they waited until today (Wednesday 10.30am) to send the email, and by about 4.30pm they decided to cancel due to not receiving enough registrations.

But how do they expect people to check their email and register when they`re at work?

At least give people time to respond before deciding there`s no interest!

Did any other Maurice Rioli Club or 3121 members only receive the email today, and not Monday or Tuesday like usual?

Loving the depth and what a difference it makes , to depth , not having ********s who are either suspended for being on the piss, have gone awol for not being allowed to eat hamburgers whilst getting dressed, retired after a couple of rounds or have been on contracts and haven't taken the hint that they aren't wanted .
Less list cloggers = greater depth, now who would have thought .

grimes on ballantyne would be a mistake I think. ellis, houli or newman for me get the job on him.

nahas comes into the forward line as i think its lacking pace and defensive pressure.
if newman plays on balla then ellis moves to the wing. full game. if ellis plays on balla helbig should start in the middle.
vlastuin should start as i dont think he'll be an impact player and he will help replace conca.
helbig could play hb but i prefer him in the middle.

tell helbig and vlastuin to lay 5 tackles each at minimum.

if king is a late out id bring in arnott who can play forward and also rotate into the middle.

I have watched the Pies replay again (not sure why) and I have to say I am buoyed by how crap we were.... ok hear me out.

In the first half, when we competitive I actually thought we were pretty terrible and lucky to be leading. Our intensity wasn't great, our spread compared to Collingwoods was pathetic and our disposal and options for who was making the disposal forward terrible.... yet we were in front at half time. We were punished after half time by a lack of a third man up against Cloke, our continued poor intensity and skill errors. We gave up 8 unanswered goals and looked to be heading for a 80 point (and well deserved) defeat. Yet we actually rallied, upped our intensity a bit, used the ball slightly better and fought our way back into the game and gave ourselves a cheeky chance. We couldn't obviously take that chance as we were playing nowhere near we we have shown we can and lost.

We have so much improvement in our game, no guarantee we will find it immediately of course, but when/if we do, we will match it with the better teams in the comp. I just don't think we can play that badly again. Not saying we will beat Freo.... but if we can improve on last week we'll go pretty bloody close. I feel we need to take the game on a bit more but it should be our playmakers that do. If I see Maric/Jacko/Petterd trying left foot crap or cute handballs I'll lose the plot. But Lids, Cotch, Martin, Houli, Newman etc should all be taking it on....

I'd be very nervous about playing Vlastin, Arnot or Helbig in the midfield at the minute as has been suggested.

2 of them have never played at AFL level, let alone a big ground where they'd need to run hard all night. Helbig has played at AFL level but how long ago? NAB cup doesn't count.

I think we need at least 1 or 2 more runners but for me that will be Nahas and then either Helbig or Vlaustin as sub.

Newman slips to defence to cover Pettard's role. Batchelor cover Chaplin's role. A Edwards goes to a CHF

With the extra tall forward it will be harder for the Dockers to play McPharlin forward. So we'll have Rance, Batchelor and Grimes to play on Kepler, Mayne and Ballantyne.

Depending on how the coaching staff think Tucky will go will probably depend on whether it's Helbig or Vlaustin brought in.

I also think whoever is tagged by the 2nd most annoying prick on the planet in Crowley (Ballantyne is 1st) - Deledio or Cotchin will spend some time in the forward line. One out with him and we'll kick a score that the Dockers hardly ever seem to be able to rack up.

We need to start well as the crowd will have an influence with the umpires decisions.

Griffiths does not come back into the side after being injured and having average VFL form, we don't need another tall anyway, no Pav makes Fremantles forward line a hell of a lot smaller.

Conca and Morris out and they said on the news today that Chaplin definitely wont play. Apparently King will play.
