I don't think he'll pass a medical anyway, as I expect the club will put him through a scanning electron microscope before giving him the nod.

If there is anything suspect, please let us walk away from this.

Law degrees differ state by state.

The requirements of a Victorian degree would be different from a West Australian one.
We use a separate criminal code to the Vics and our state laws are separate too.
It's not an easy process transferring and requires you to re-sit some fairly basic preliminary units.

Just having a joke, I don't blame him at all it would be a pain having to swap uni's.

well Jay Clark is saying that he has already passed his medical. I can only assume, that because he is currently in Mandurah, that this medical was performed at the FFC

Yep Morabito's surgeon gave him the thumbs up and then walked into the broom cupboard by mistake

Given Hogan seems gone to Melbourne and Lee is gone to Saints, Gumbleton plus hopefully upgrading our pick 16 to something higher the order to ensure getting at least one of the decent KPF's in the draft seems our remaining best option. Only picks really possible for this would be GWS picks 12 and 13 which does get us ahead of North and Geelong but still behind Carlton and Bulldogs who will probably take a KPP.

We held back last year to get a KPF forward in the draft this year which was meant to be deeper for them but the GWS abuse of the mini-draft system as it was intended has really screwed us up.

Anyone got the inside word on us hunting for a pick upgrade or is that all BF speculation? Can't see anyone giving us their earlier pick for a pack of crisps.

Mind you, GWS sure do have a lot of them... and not a lot of mid-sized, skinny flanker types prone to going missing. Coincidence? I think not.

There is alot of panic on this board, this draft is still rated highly. Fremantle have two champions to cover, and if other clubs
pick a key forward, other highly rate players will slide. Let the cards fall, there are key backs in the first round.
Plowman and Clurey, Mcpharlin replacement is just as important.

Agree about the panic. Lets wait until our list is finalised after trading, main draft, rookie draft and pre season draft before we jump to any conclusions, there is a long way to go. The club has identified in a public forum that KPP are a priority, let them do their thing and see what they come up with. As much as we all wanted Hogan it was never going to happen as we didn't have the required draft picks for bargaining power. Something tells me we will pull some sort of real suprise in the form of a trade, but to get quality we will have to give up quality. Interesting times :)

Apologies if it's mentioned elsewhere, couldn't see it, but Bond has confirmed Roberton wants to go back to Victoria.

While Fremantle are unlikely to play a big part in the trade period, football operations manager Chris Bond confirmed Dylan Roberton wanted to go home to Victoria.
Bond said the club had agreed to try and facilitate the move and had discussed a possible new home for the 21-year-old with several clubs.

As the club has said on many occasions we have set our list up to take into account Free Agency .
So as Pav & McPharlin wind down we will be able to bring in ready made players over the next few years .
As Paul Roos has said in his coaching days at the swans that they pretty much never drafted talls early & waited for other clubs to develop them first , then they could run a better rule over them .
Too many unknowns he said .
Lyon was under Roos for a few years so I would have thought that way of thinking has rubbed off .

It's what we've done for the last few years. We draft mids/flankers as juniors and draft in mature KPs.

All of this was happening well before Ross got here.

EDIT: As for Sydney... yep, they often do trade KPs in. But they also draft them occasionally. They picked up Lewis Johnston in 2008, Sam Reid in 2009 and Alex Johnson in 2010. Over the same period they brought in older KPs in Spangher in 2010, Everitt in 2010 and Tommy Walsh in 2011.

A balance of both, by the looks.

I would love Freo to pick up a KPF but Gumby for a draft pick and player. Not sure about this.

Gumby has been with Essendon for 6 years and has struggled to get his body right. If Freo pick him up and he happens to injure himself for the majority of the time he is on the list that would be a waste of time.

it'd have to be a pick and a player, or 2 players. we currently don't have enough spots free on the senior list to bring both him and 3 draft picks to the club come draft day.

If no-one is traded out and there aren't enough spots, then (sorry Clay) Crichton would surely be in line for the chop. Or Pitt. Or JA. Or even Faulks. (as the first bit assumes we don't lose SCNOS or Robbo)
