Ok this is not confirmed but I wont break a confidence by sharing it. We have asked the question about Dow from Carlton, its just not working for him there. Apparently and the mail is pretty strong on this, his family feels he is being mismanaged at the blues. He has zero confidence in himself now but they continue to play him particularly in the wrong position which is midfield.

Due to how his brother is thriving at our club, naturally the noise is he would love to join us. Guess we will see where this will go.

I think Dow had enough potential to turn good. Carlton is notoriously bad at developing their kids.

Hopefully with SOS gone they are a bit easier to deal with. They'll still want a first round pick for the kid, and he's not worth that any more.

and there are no guarantee's Thomson is actually going to be a player yet so only if cheap.

Surprised by this. The coach at my old side was involved match day at scumwood for several years and loved Longmuir and highly rates him tactically

2nd rounder?! They would be lucky to receive a 3rd/4th at best. He will likely be delisted in a couple years. He is comfortably in the bracket of the worst kick in the Comp.

His only positives are his explosiveness at the contests and he is still young. With that being said, I don’t see why wouldn’t take a risk, only if it was for a late pick. I trust our drafting these days to find players that will step in and be better anyway..

And yes, it’s a good question as he will likely be delisted in 2 years..

What I’m saying is, it would be worth the risk for a late pick knowing our development, there’s a small chance we could embed him in our great culture and maybe find a role for him. This is only for a late pick, otherwise we go to the draft, or search for other needs..pretty simple really
