McGrath over McCluggage/Taranto is looking like a mistake.
I think McGrath is really good. Just having an off game or two.

Who's fault is this going to be ?
A club in denial who refuses to take responsibility
Can’t believe people blaming the umpires.
This is purely on us as a club and it starts at the top. Woeful drafting by a bloke who is long past his useby date, terrible coach who stupidly had his contract extended by a weak board. No onfield leadership whatsoever and a bunch of mediocre at best players. The Essendon happy clappers though will keep patting the club on the back no doubt.
Second year blues, happens to most players the year after they break throughI think McGrath is really good. Just having an off game or two.
You're worried about it?Hurley has been a bit of a sook today to be honest. I worry that Heppell doesn't really have his group under control. He's gone missing this second half.
Has had quite a few good games already and very little that were standout poor. Is also only 19 and just starting his second season.
Would love to hear your list of 19 year olds that were ripping games to shreds after 20 games?
For example, your mobs picks from the same draft didn't even get on the park in their first year. How's that for impact?
Danniher... is he the most over rated player playing?
Zac Fisher has had two good games in his career. Looks good but I hardly think the bombers will be upset they took McGrath ahead of him at this point.Zac Fisher, Brandon Parfitt - both had excellent games on occasion. Taranto as well who went pick 2.
Similar to Daniher?Hogan the sheepdog.
Done nothing all day.
What a joke of a player.
I agree, and don't even rate McGrath too highly, particularly for a #1 pick. It's a matter of the massive hype not matching the impact.
People waxed lyrical last year about how great he was for a first year player, but he was also playing arguably the easiest role in footy, picking up uncontested possies on half back and not really actually defending.
Hope so. Myself and a lot of others have boycotted this week and it will be be far worse next weekend. Expect some woeful crowds coming off as supporters become disconnectedHas a coach received a contract extension and been fired in the same season?
Essendon is a broken club. Top to bottom.
