I have not heard Rory Sloane, like Dangerfield or Lever say anything like this. This sounds very much like a story Theo did last year about Jake Lever.

Reckon Theo has been asked to do a vague "club isn't concerned" story, with absolutely nothing new to share, just to keep the circling sharks at bay for at least another week.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Lever was close to resigning in the early part of last year - and it was echoed here by others as well? It became evident that things had changed at some point.

I don't think it's fair to use it as an attack on Theo's credibility.

Are you sure that was Theo who said that about Lever? I thought that was Tom Rehn. The same Tom Rehn who wrongly said that Rory was going to sign at the start of the year.

I have zero faith in anything Tom Rehn says, but Theo is another story often he drops the rumour and within a week or so it's confirmed.

Tredders and Rehn had the report early in the year that Sloane was staying, which was one he quickly shot down.
