Good:
  • Dawson mayor of clutch city
  • Murphy's acting ability
  • Gollant 4 goals
  • Berg, literal ****ing U-turn in his performance compared to prior weeks
  • Rachele just has it
  • Pressure and intensity tenfold compared to last week

- Pears winning the entire game only to lose after the siren

Ken is The Walking Dead.
The new coach is going to be pissed off with the list he left them with trading away multiple 1st rounders to chase the premiership for the last 8 years. There might still be a bit of a spine if Georgiadias, Butters and Rozee can develop and replace Dixon, Boak and Gray but very doubtful especially Rozee and I can't see any good young key defenders coming through, even in their SANFL.

I was very miffed about Murphy's selection, but credit where it's due for what he produced tonight. Looked right at home playing more in the middle where he excelled as a junior rather than wasting him away as a small forward. Is he a long term option? Probably not, but he proved he can be a valuable option with some of his clearance work.

That game was mad! Loved the finish. So sweet to give them a heartbreaker. They've done a few to us.

Well, we added more experience and even if we'd lost you would have to agree we were more competitive. I didn't think we'd win, still thought we needed more experience. We cut it as close as we could.

If we'd lost that game by 3 goals or less I woulda put it on the umpiring. Effing disgrace. I've got two degrees and I've got no idea how to work out some of the frees and some of the 50 infringements. Can someone draw me a diagram?

Wonder how we'll go next week with more experience in??

I have wondered whether our covid caused us to be a bit less fit and have a few less games into people we'd like and that's contributing to our sluggish start. Good to get it out the way. Might help later in the year I spose.

Murphy was reasonable. Think it was the correct call to bring him in. Laird was great. Frampton tolerable.

Good to see Schoenberg start coming good again. Sholl alright too.

You can see some talent in our side. There's glimpses. Berg tonight for example. Some of the younger ones are far better. Cook for example.

It was great to see late in the game, we looked pretty fit and also we kept sticking with our style. I reckon previous two weeks someone would've crumbled and stopped with the system.

I really like 3 of our trades, Keays, Hinge and Dawson. All for different reasons but all fast becoming my faves.

McHenry and the team generally will get embarrased, sick of those mistakes and wipe them out over time. This is what a rebuild looks like.

Lastly great the SANFL team had a good game and had plenty in form.

EDIT - forgot to mention, Gollant had a blinder too. Just what we need, someone tall that just launches at everything. Good kick at goal too.

“It’s an incredible game of footy, not for one minute during that game did I think Adelaide was going to win,” Kane Cornes said in commentary for AFL Nation.
