And the sport won't miss you one but either. D!ckhead.
I have asked him numerous times to explain his conspiracy theories to the masses. So far nothing but cowardly silence.

The title is misleading, everybody can develop youngsters, you could even say geelong's current model is great for developing youngster...provide you have a top 4 core in the team.

That core is close to finishing.

Geelong will squeeze the last of the juice out of dangerfield, cameron, stewart and the like and by the time tasmania comes around, you will see geelong trading out a whole bunch of players for the draft picks.

Regardless, there will be a mass scramble for picks in the years leading up to 2028 as well, so those who are well stocked with picks can reap in some goodies around that time.

Richmond supporters not the most hardy of fans

Can you blame them? So many key members of the coaching and administration have or are about to tap out and go elsewhere. Senior players at the end like Lynch and Prestia and others also looking elsewhere. Seems like the club has embraced the rebuild and a massive reset is underway.

As much as what Humphries has brought on field since his introduction to the senior team, maybe even more, I love the way every Geelong person's face visibly lights up when they're asked a question about him. They effing love the guy.

It's rare in an AFL player to get the reaction beyond "He's a great bloke, a solid citizen and he works hard", that magnetism that not many players have, he has it. To have a player in his first year with his talent and that universal adoration from his teammates and he's just fallen to us with the second last pick of the draft. Not too shabby.

Wish I had a dollar for every Richmond fan threatening to be "done with footy" since they stopped winning premierships/qualifying for finals.
Wish I had one less Richmond fan on BF, for every Richmond fan threatening to be "done with footy". This place would be a lot more bearable.

Shaun Mannagh Credits Academy for Young Cats' Development

Shaun Mannagh has provided insight into his first seven months at the Cats, crediting the Cameron Ling Academy for the development of Geelong's young core

Shaun Mannagh has provided insight into his first seven months at Geelong on Wednesday, with the mature aged recruit crediting Geelong's Academy for helping himself and other young players at the club to develop their game.

The Academy helps Geelong’s first to third year players, setting up extra sessions to physically and mentally progress their development early in their AFL careers.

Mannagh provided insight into the Academy and the key individuals driving development, when he joined SEN Breakfast this morning.

“We call it the Cameron Ling Academy, that's with all the first to third year players and Shannon Byrnes runs that with Nigel Lappin and Mark Corrigan,” Mannagh told SEN.

“We have academy today so we will have a meeting, that will be about reviewing the VFL game and the AFL game.

“Then we will go with our psychologist down at Geelong, we do sessions with him weekly to work on the mental side of the game.

“Then a lot of extra touch sessions with Nigel and Mark, but it is mostly about being able to review the game in a certain way to take things out of it.”

Mannagh has had an impact since returning to the AFL side two weeks ago, picking up 20 disposals and 14 tackles against Hawthorn, followed by a 14 possession and one goal performance against Collingwood.

The crafty forward was dominant at VFL level this year, showing improvement each week before earning a recall to the AFL team.
Mannagh paid credit to the Cats’ team behind the scenes, which has played a vital role in helping the club stay competitive for a long period of time.

“Stephen Wells is a bit of a master of using some late picks that turn out to be hidden gems, for example the most recent one in Lawson Humphries being the Rising Star this week,” Mannagh said.

“There is obviously the talent identification, the team there is fantastic.

“The development program that we have got is second to none, I am currently part of that and obviously the oldest in the group.

“It is pretty incredible that we get the one on one coaching from those guys, but then the line coaches step in a lot and the group that we have got at the moment is driving from the front.

“The development side is amazing, that helps with those hidden gems that Stephen Wells and Andrew Mackie have been able to pick up.”

So we can now add "Cheat Academy" to go with Cheat Ground, Cheat Umpiring, Cheat Fixture, Cheat Rule Changes, Cheat Hocking........
Building an academy that can be trained on, at our boutique bowling alley shaped ground, funded by the government and intergalactic illuminati - it really is disgusting what we get away with.

If finals ever came to Geelong, umpired by Joel Selwood, well that would be the last straw.

Geelong will squeeze the last of the juice out of dangerfield, cameron, stewart and the like and by the time tasmania comes around, you will see geelong trading out a whole bunch of players for the draft picks.
Geelong will squeeze the last of the juice out of Ablett, Selwood, Bartel, Mooney, Scarlett, Taylor and the like and by the time GWS comes around, you will see Geelong trading out a whole bunch of players for the draft picks.

Sorry, but this is not the way Geelong plays. If that were the case, Geelong would have offloaded a whole raft of stars last year after not making the finals. They will continue to blend trading names in with plucking unknowns from obscurity.
