Very clever Fred. I had to read that twice.Too clever, don't you know that at least 50% of people have below average maths skills?

Maybe a sneaky knee to the head like Sicily did to Selwood?
hawks arent a finals side. we should of won comfortably today.
Was Zuthrie actually on Roughead or was it the defensive structure breaking down? Feels like having Taylor and Lonergan for the last decade was taken for granted the last decade and Scott forgot to play a KPD.
Imagine if Stanley played on Gawn

Hawks were a key player down since q1. We did exactly what melbourne did to us last week in the same position.Frustrated with the loss, but walked away with a little bit of a smile after that last quarter.
Think we went another level in that last quarter than hawthorn couldn’t go with.
Our side lifted a gear their team couldn’t go with. Had no right to come back from that far back, and there was no way it would happen against a side we evenly matched with.
Only point of difference in the end that cost us the match was having no key defenders.
We are a better side and I will back us against them if we play again this season with a fit side.
Without Stanley, we are 12 points further behind.
McEvoy is no ordinary player.
Stanley was nowhere near our worst.
Smith was close to that last week- and I am a big Zac fan.
The difference between the two is that Smith contests the behind kick outs whereas Stanley doesn't go near them, which lead to the repeated entries we saw in the 2nd quarter. McEvoy would time and again spoil or tap down to his smalls and the ball would be pumped back into an out of position defence.Without Stanley, we are 12 points further behind.

The prelim was far far worse in terms of butchering the ball. It was only a minor issue today. Not sure I've seen us butcher the ball, especially by hands, that badly for a while.
Also cannot fathom why a bigger bodied backman was not included... thats just... stupid. Zac got out marked/bustled by Roughhead at least three times at crucial moments in the match... Gardener or House should have gotten a gig, just to be able to bring the ball to ground... until Taylor and Hendo are back the MC has to give some game time to those guys.
Outs: Gregson, Parsons, Henry, O'Connor
Ins: Gardener, Duncan, Smith, S Selwood
Blicavs down back with those changes.
Stanley did ok v 211 last year rd 1.Zac smashed mcevoy last year.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Hawthorn make the finals in 2018. I'd also back us in a rematch at full strength. But we were never winning that game comfortably by any stretch of the imagination.
If SJ got 2 weeks for a knee to the ribs V Demons a few years ago.. then a full kneed drop to the head must be 3 weeks.Maybe a sneaky knee to the head like Sicily did to Selwood?
That and smith wins knockouts and tends to murder the smaller rucks like mcevoy. The difference between the two is that Smith contests the behind kick outs whereas Stanley doesn't go near them, which lead to the repeated entries we saw in the 2nd quarter. Gardiner? Talk about gifting games- what will he have done to get a game next week? Has he played a decent VFL game yet?Not sure I've seen us butcher the ball, especially by hands, that badly for a while.

Only downside of the Danger/Selwood/Ablett combo is that it's going to exponentially increase the volume of obnoxiously dumb comments from opposition supporters any time we lose. Any opposition midfielder who plays well against Geelong is going to get written up as if they "took on and bested all three of Dangerwoodlett combined".
Imagine if we lose to Richmond and Dusty plays well. God help us. The media will anoint him the greatest player in the history of sport.
